A wonderful old railway site with working roundhouse area. True, a lot of it has not been restored, but that also means it has not been cleaned up and made to look like something modern. Old trains and cars, some usable, some under restoration give a special look into the trains and what is needed to keep the stock rolling. I look forward to going back and being able to see the result of ongoing preservation and restoration efforts.

We could not understand how this run down place has such good reviews. The only redeeming factors are the train ride if you can get tickets and the hand cart (which is only open 15 minutes per day).

This is a great place to visit in Savannah! They have dinner a great job restoring a full service train yard. The staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the place, and the steps they are taking in the restoration. They spent over 30 min with us demonstrating the different equipment and showing the changes that had been made over time. This was our second time there, and we still learned more. We will be back again as it is one of our favorite places.

Great place to visit! Very interactive, the little train tour is neat. Many cool exhibits as well. I hope this place gets the money it needs to expand, there's still so much more that can come out of that place.
