Great diner in the New Haven area. This place has a dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu which is a huge plus. 

The food is delicious, the service is good, and it has a great atmosphere. 

My only qualm is that the grill for breakfast food has a ton of meat and bacon cooked on it , and if you order hash browns with a vegetarian meal , you are definitely getting some meat grease with your food. I wish they would have a vegetarian section of the grill or some other solution. 

Nonetheless, this place has great diner food for vegetarian and non-vegetarians alike and I would recommend it for anyone who is in the mood for diner food in the New Haven area.

First place where I've eaten since i had to go dairy/ gluten free where i didn't feel like i was tollerating the food. The pancakes were so good I was joyfully overwhelmed. Tried some of my wife's toast, and that was great as well. To top it all off our waitress Sarah was wonderful as well. Don't let the slightly higher prices scare you aware, you'll get your money's worth.

Their regular food gets the same review from back before I started my diet.

I LOVE this place. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Great service, and very delicious and fresh food. It definitely doesn't have diner prices, but it also isn't trul diner food...Not to mention, probably the best tasting hash and eggs I've ever had.

Excellent Vegan and Vegetarian selections. Great for kids (lollipop treats at the counter) and staff is friendly. Very clean restrooms (for when the kiddos beg for the bathroom 5 times at dinner) and fun historic diner atmosphere. Can be pricey, best value is breakfast.  Great kids menu.

The food is always delicious but the wait staff can be rude and uninviting. They may have an issue with people of color. The waitress made sure to let me know if I order two main dishes that come with the same sides that the price would not change. I'm not sure she would have said this if we were not a couple of color. When I let her know that we were not worried about a price she then had an attitude and didn't come back for awhile. The food here is always great but this place can be unwelcoming to people of color. They may think we can't afford to eat here.
