We had wonderful food and service at Geppetto's! Each sandwich, quiche and dessert was prepared with top quality ingredients and was absolutely delicious. The owner couldn't have been kinder or more gracious, and is obviously passionate about her work. We fed five hungry people for ~$40. That didn't include miscellaneous drinks or chips, but it's the baked goods that are spectacular. Can't wait to go back next year!

We heard that the Sanibel blossoms sell out early, so we placed our order the day before since we were just driving down for the day. Our order was accidently misplaced, however the owner herself apologized  and made a fresh batch for us. They were so amazing as was everything we tried. The staff were extremely friendly and pastries were so different from other pastry shops. You can really taste the quality ingredients. If you are going to Sanibel make sure you add this to your list of stops.

My husband and I came to Sanibel on vacation and first tried the ice cream at Pinocchio's and it was delicious  so we returned the next day to try the sandwich shop side.  The baked goods shop next-door at Geppetto's provided the most scrumptious, homemade croissants and pastries that were some of the highest quality we have had.  The Sanibel blossom is incredible!  We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next morning on our way out of town. The employees were delightful and we were wishing we had one of these shops in our own city in Charleston. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience  and are planning to return the next time we come to the Sanibel and Captiva area. If you go just for the sandwiches, they are very much the authentic Italian style. Definitely a must try while on the island!
