HANDS DOWN the BEST Pork BBQ I have EVER had--EVER. It's been a LONG time since I've been here, but definitely the BEST!!

I've been going to Gerties for 20 years or more.  I have taken many of my friends there for their 1st visit and a lot of them have spread the word.  Great food, great atmosphere.  It's not fancy it's just plain good ole southern cooking. There are signatures all over the walls and ceilings by people from all over the world, literally.  Who would ever guess that a little country store/restaurant in Vesuvius, VA would be known and visited and liked by people from so many places and countries?  It’s like a 50 year time warp that just feels comfortable.

Loved this place!! It was worth the little winding roads off the parkway to have a good hamburger and hotdog.

Great hosts... Loved the delicious food prepared by them .. The best place to be when you are driving down  the blue ridge parkway

It is a country store that serves great food. A real step back in time. Not for everyone unless you like good old southern charm.
