I was not really prepared to get divorced, and it was sprung on me. I went to Oscar Gertsch based off of Google reviews that spoke very highly of his professionalism and excellent work. I was not disappointed! Mr. Gertsch was always great about fitting me into his busy schedule, as well as being attentive and present during our meetings. He did a great job of walking me through the process, explaining how things worked, and making me feel comfortable. In a very chaotic time, Mr. Gertsch made this experience pleasant. I would highly recommend him to any other individual going through a divorce. He is nothing but kind and professional!

I never have had to use an attorney. So I called several attorneys and Mr. Gertsch called back the same day. He explained the adoption process to us and the different avenues that may arise. He answered all of our questions.  During the process he was easy to reach, and if not, he returned calls the same day. The process went the way he thought it would and explained to us. The only problem we had was sometimes the secured system he used for documents and emails did not go through.

Having faced custody issues in the past I had previously used another local attorney. I obviously considered and even preferred hiring the former attorney again because he knew my history and had always been successful. I, along with my family, decided to seek out someone who might be more acquainted with the unique aspects of our case. That is what drew me to Mr. Gertsch. His familiarity of having worked for the U.S. Army was a big draw. My case revolved around military orders and custody and I wanted someone who understood our position and was willing to vie accordingly. I was worried about hiring someone new but my fears were completely alleviated.

I have to take a moment to note Mr. Gertsch's ability and motivation to be compassionate and kind-hearted. It shows in his listening abilities and discernment. While he is an attorney and not a therapist he does WANT to understand what you are dealing with and he CARES about how it affects you and your case. It sets him apart in the legal field.

One thing that blew me away was at our court date... It was almost comical watching how calm, prepared and collected Mr. Gertsch was in comparison to the opposing counsel. Given the gravity of my case, I was a nervous wreck and struggling to focus on all the details but not once did my attorney seem at a loss for resource, confused or ill-prepared. His ability to remain polite, respectful and calm while the other attorney scrambled to keep up was truly impressive.

The best move I made was to pick up the phone that first time and call him "just to ask a few questions" to see if he might be right for my case.. He fit me in the same day and always made time for me and made me feel respected and understood.

Most notably, my case was  successful and I could not have done it without Oscar Gertsch. Both a veteran and an everyday hero to our family!

On point, honest with solid integrity! What a pleasure and a relief to be represented by Oscar Gertsch. My fears were put to rest and my case proceeded and completed to my satisfaction. During the process, I was always kept on top of all information, events and outcomes. Mr. Gertsch was prompt with all info pertaining to my case. His fees were reasonable, not exuberant as usually found in the Athens area. Mr. Gertsch is an outstanding individual with tons of patience and tremendous integrity. I would highly recommend his services.

Oscar Gertsch is a wonderful, caring and thorough attorney.  He was prepared and professional.  I felt confident about my case going into court because he was representing me.  I had used a different attorney on two previous court appearances and there is no comparison in the results I got when Oscar represented me.  I would definitely give him 5 stars!
