We understand that events sometimes happen with short notice, but please understand that we are a very small bakery with very limited space and we may need to charge a rush fee to accommodate a short notice order. I was really excited to come to Get Baked after going on their website and browsing their menu, as well as watching the video on their site on how they run things. My excitement has long vanished. Once I stepped into the door, I could see there was random things everywhere like a bike and what looked like snow, dust, or another white, fluffy substance in the back corner. The display that contained all the baked goods had only ONE vegan option which was extremely disappointing considering I am vegan. The girl behind the counter was very nice at least. I ordered a vegan cake and requested it be red velvet with cream cheese frosting. The girl behind the counter told me they ran out of cream cheese frosting. First of all, I checked their menu and nowhere on there did it say they were out. They should have someone update it so they don't have people coming in and expecting something that they are not going to get.(like me!) The girl behind the counter offered me vanilla instead so I opted for that. Upon receiving the cake a couple days later (since I had pre ordered it) I did a double-take. For the whopping $45.00 paid for the cake, it was really small. The layers were also slipping and sliding. Now for the taste of the cake. It had to be the most disgusting thing I had ever put in my mouth. The frosting was not sweet and had a dreadful after-taste of something old and musty. The cake part tasted old as well and had a doughy texture. It was so dough-like, I was able to roll a piece of the cake into a ball and sort of bounce it off the floor. Everybody in my family hated it. All the cake went into the trash. It had to be the most disappointing birthday, (cake-wise) as cake is seen as the main staple of every birthday. Now, if you are looking to come to Get Baked to have any baked goods, I highly recommend you go somewhere else if you are vegan. Go to Whole Foods or some place like that (where I should have gone in the first place) For everyone else, go on right ahead if you don't mind a messy atmosphere and expensive prices. As for you Get Baked, until you clean up your act, I definitely WON'T be coming back.

Fantastic little bakery/coffee shop. Staff is incredibly friendly, baked goods are out of this world! Coffee is good. Cute little sitting area inside with toys for kids, also has an outdoor porch with seating. Attached to an auction hall which occasionally hosts flea markets. Easy access by foot, car, bus or train. It's worth a visit!

The cupcakes are great.  The tops are crunchy but not burnt. And the frosting is not too sweat.  They girls are so nice.

High quality baked goods, breakfast foods, ice cream and coffee. Nothing is made with peanuts! They bake lactose free and vegan in addition to gluten free. It's all so tasty you can't tell which is which. The chocolate and coffee are to die for. Oh... and the pumpkin cream cheese muffins. And chocolate cupcakes.... ahem. So prices aren't "cheap" but they won't break you. They're a community business and they give back, take part, and are super friendly. It's my family's favorite place to visit in town.
