Has what you need, some of the time, but never has enough registers open or people who care about the work they’re doing. If I’m going for a few quick things I’ll stop here because it’s closer. But if I need to do a big shop, I don’t waste my time and go over to the one at the waterfront.

Generally a good option for a smaller amount of groceries, especially if you live in the area. Unfortunately, they rarely have enough checkout lanes open, regardless of the time of day. This can make catching a bus a gamble, and I've had to return things to shelves and leave in lieu of standing in line for too long on more than one occasion. Still good for short grocery runs, if it's not crowded.

Very decent walkable grocery store. Aldi and Trader Joe's and Costco will always be my favorite but it's nice to have a Neighborhood Place that people can walk to and it's accessible to so many people.

The produce section is small and uninteresting. It's weirdly layed out and I always have trouble finding things. Most of the check outs are self serve. They never seem to have more than one staffed checkout open for more than 12 items. I was recently there to buy a week's worth of groceries on a weekend and they were only staffed for self serve and 12 items or less. I tried to self checkout but the machine was being picky (maybe because the scanner was covered in something wet and sticky?) and the attendant kept griping that I was doing it wrong. Worst shopping trip ever. Never go there for more than 12 items. Waterworks Giant Eagle is less than 10 minutes away.

Like an old timely Giant, but that's in a good way. Very friendly and helpful staff, with great prices. I would suggest this Giant to any and everyone.
