This place is terrible. I was charged over $100 in extra "fees" based on their measurements, which were completely inaccurate. They told me I needed a plus-size gown (+$45) with extra length (+$20), and extra fabric (+$40), and when the dress came in it was about 8 sizes too big and I was tripping over it just walking out of the dressing room. After all of that, they refused to do the alterations, saying that they had too much work to do already, so I had to go find a competent seamstress and pay her another $100 to fix the dress they overcharged me for.  I wound up just throwing away the extra fabric they insisted that I needed. They also only carry one sample size, so if you exceed a size 6, forget about trying your dress on.

Nice selection. Over priced. Gigi was in the middle of a argument with a bride. It was an uncomfortable experience. The sales person kept apologizing. I will not be returning. Totally turned off by GIGI. I find it to be odd that all the tags in the dresses are removed and her name is replaced with them.

We had some real challenges ahead of us with finding address and within 30 minutes we were set up with dozens of options and found two wonderful successful options which were then altered or free and quickly, and our timeframe. It will be the first place I go the next time we need dresses.

I visited Gig's Closette on Valentine's Day 2015 and had a wonderful experience.  The staff member who worked with me was such a sweet and considerate woman.  She was in no way pushy and did not attempt to put me in dresses she knew were out of my budget.  I brought 7 people with me and the shop was accommodating and made everyone feel a part of the process and welcome. The second story of the store is the bridal floor and it is darling.  Gigi's Closette had a wide selection of wedding gowns at various price-points.  While I did not buy my wedding dress there I had an absolutely wonderful shopping experience and thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent there.  I would highly recommend Gig's Closette because it is quaint, welcoming, and the staff is great at what they do!

Gigi, herself, is aware this review is going up as I told her it would. Today, she refused to refund the price paid for a Prom dress. 12 days ago my wife and daughter went to Gigi's Closette. They found a dress my daughter liked but the store did not have the size. It ordered the correct size from the wholesaler and had my wife pay the full purchase price. A week later my daughter tried on a similar dress a friend had and she liked it more. My wife called Gigi's that day and cancelled the order. I personally confirmed today with Gigi that she was able to cancel the order with the wholesaler at no cost to her. However, Gigi still refuses to refund the purchase price. I explained to her that this wasn't fair since Gigi's was never charged anything and it was able to cancel the order completely. Gigi did not care at all, she just said "this has been our policy for 40 years." I would think that in this situation, where the order was able to be completely cancelled from the wholesaler that Gigi would do better than this. The other negative review her explains how Gigi's would not hold a dress for a day and tried to get the individual to pay the full purchase price immediately - now we all know why, once Gigi's gets your money, they will never give it back.  That's bad business, IMO.
