Not only a great place to eat, relax and engage in friendly conversation, but a staple of our community.  Gil's supports other local businesses (you'll find a locally brewed beer on tap), sponsors charity events (the annual Breakfast With Santa is fantastic) hosts car cruises in the summer and the staff is not only long-tenured but return on their personal time as customers - that says something.  The menu selection is broad and the food never disappoints !!

I ordered the flat iron steak with a baked potato and corn and everything was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the liver and onions. Overall we agree that this is the place you go to when you want home cooking but you don't want to cook at home. It has a really relaxed atmosphere and our server was amazing. And I don't know how, but the Sam Adams Oktoberfest on draft tasted better than I've had anywhere else.

Awesome little place. Ate there for the first time tonight and the service was a bit slow due to them being busy but the food was excellent. I had the prime rib with loaded baked potato. My wife had a panini. The prime rib was tender but needed a tad bit more seasoning on it. My wife said the panini was excellent and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was very good. The waitress staff was very helpful and answered all our questions with knowledge. Overall, nothing to really complain about except the longer than I'm used to wait time. Other than that, they are pretty darn good. We will definitely be going back.

I don't know what happened to this place. It was better when it was a dive bar. Now it's a restaurant staffed with folks from the old folks home that can't hear you to take your order and always have a surly attitude. The food is mediocre at best, but I guess the price is right. What ever you do STAY AWAY FROM THE PIZZA!!!!!! It's frozen pizza loaded with toppings to mask the taste of the pizza itself. When you come in the place is alway full of elderly people, which is most likely where all the good reviews come from, because they are being serviced by like minded elderly people from the retirement home, who only appreciate the cheap price!!!
