Gilbert Accounting and Tax Service was established in 2005 to serve the accounting and tax needs of the Lowcountry. We are geared toward the small to medium sized business owners, to minimize taxes while providing continuing consultation to maximize profits. We have been with Gilbert accounting for about 2 years now for our small, family owned preschool. We do payroll and tax services through them. I work closely with Teresa and Caroline weekly. They are both amazing and very helpful! Teresa helped get us out of a mess that a former accountant left us in! She was able to help every step of the way. I have had a few small issues in our 2 year relationship, but Teresa is very quick to address the issues and find a solution. I really do appreciate everything they do and not sure I could run my business so smoothly without them!

My business partner and I have been with Gilbert Accounting for almost two years now. We contacted them shortly after starting our handyman business and Teresa Schurlknight was very helpful in explaining the ins and outs of business accounting and tax laws to two novice business owners. We also utilize their payroll service, which has worked flawlessly. We communicate primarily through email and Teresa has always responded in a very timely manner, in fact, often retuning emails in the evenings after business hours. She also has a great sense of humor and has been a pleasure to work with. We certainly have no complaints with our relationship with Gilbert Accounting & Tax Service and would recommend them highly for your accounting needs.

I have been working with Gilbert Accounting for many years now. They are great at helping me with my business and personal tax services. They also take care of my business payroll. Great customer service and very pleasant to work with! Mark, Teresa, and Caroline are great. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I started working with Teresa at Gilbert Accounting at the very early stages of me launching my business and she was more than helpful in registering it as an LLC, receiving my business license, and FEIN number. Since then, I have hired her as my accountant and she has been fabulous! Her quick responses and attention to detail are much appreciated especially when timely questions are asked. I would highly recommend hiring them!
