This is our group fav spot since they have the pork intestine bbq/ spicy korean style Really lack of employees, only 1 server sometimes 2, they sometimes forgot your items and the dishes took long time to come to the table. We always order pork intestine and pork neck for the BBQ
Great Korean restaurant in Seattle. We ordered the bossam special which includes soju and cold noodles. Proportions were large, flavours were great. Comparable to places I’ve eaten at in Toronto and Korean. Waiters were very responsive and aware. Overall, I would come back if I’m in the area.
Come here for the food and reasonable prices, enjoy the celebratory vibes with mostly young people, and leave satisfied. Everyone orders the 50/50 korean fried chicken for good reason. Expect a wait. Don't come if you want fancy and quiet. I felt lucky to have discovered this hidden treasure and the only hint I had was a full parking lot around a dull building. Perfection! Kim hi and fish cake is very good.
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Spicy Pork Intestines was a bit sweet but so good! The rice cake was cooked well and still had a chewy texture without becoming too tough or mushy. Texture was a bit chewier than expected rather than super crispy. It looked like a small serving initially but quite filling Soft Tofu Soup with beef was a bit sweet too which was surprising initially and a bit too much at the end. The tofu was so soft and the meat actually absorbed the soup flavor Spicy Cold Noodles was a generous serving. Simple with just lettuce, cabbage, and noodles with sauce but very satisfying. Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. Have pop songs on which is a bit loud. Not very good ventilation. Very rustic feel Service: 5/5 - very attentive for the to go orders even when 4 parties walked in within 5 minutes of each other Value for price: 4/5 - the protein dishes are all quite pricey and we decided not to get KBBQ due to price and minimum of 2 proteins. However, everything we got was tasty even if a bit on the sweeter side.
The highlight dish here is pork intestines on grill, dipped in their bean paste sauce, makes excellent flavor and tastes. Highly recommend it. Their beef short rib stew is also quite savory, and authentic. However, shop only has 2 waiter/waitress, serving a total of 10 tables, I feel service is slow sometimes, e.g. get tea refilled or grill changed took quite a while... So once seated, try to place order as fast as you can, and make service request as early as you can.
This is my first time here and this place definitely makes you feel like you are in Korea! The service was great and the server made sure if we needed anything and got us what we needed quick! They also bring you hot tea without charge. Definitely will come back here again and will try their Korean bbq. The food was alright, I feel like I’ve had better. Or maybe it just wasn’t my taste, but I would definitely try something else here again:. Also I love how late they open cause everything closes so early!!
If you want korean food, this is your place! I've came here numerous times including take-outs and everything I've tried were just amazing! Their service is also top-notch. We had a toddler with us and the server gave us complimentary egg soup and he was so friendly. I love Gilson.
Ask about the portion size. A regular is a large and a large is an elephant. These portions are for parties. If you're getting drinks as well, get the specials. They are way worth it. Definitely order the bossam if this is the one time you'll be here. Thick cuts with kimchee and the cold noodles create the perfect complimentary bite. Server was very nice and accommodating even with a full house - and it gets full and rowdy in there. Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly until dinner when it turns into more of a pub/bar.
Stopped in during an early evening on a weekday and they weren't too busy, but a lot of the bbq tables got filled shortly after ~6 pm. Overall, the food was good and the servers checked in on us from time to time. The building and surrounding area isnt the greatest, but there's plenty of parking and the inside is pretty clean. Didn't get their fried chicken, pork dishes, or any bbq, but planning on going again and trying them out!
DO NOT COME! Ordered intestines, brisket and pancake. Food is very average, but price is insane. Brisket comes in frozen slices in a very very small portions. Do you know how many pounds of brisket i can buy for $26???? Like wth is this? Robbery? Dont get me wrong i am asian and have had Korean bbq since 4 years old. But this place is very bad. I haven't even talked about the service. Only 2 waiters for 10 plus tables. You order your food and will never see them again. I want to reiterate DO NOT COME!!!
