You will leave filled - especially if you order a lot of the dim sum options. Everything we had tasted great consistent each time visited. Make sure to get there early before the rush on weekends. My favorites from dim sum menu are the eggplant, pork bun, sesame ball, egg tart, glutinous rice/chicken in lotus leaf all with chrysanthemum tea. The other main entrees are good too I've had in the past. My friends and I take a special visit up to this restaurant since there's nothing like it near Naples.
First time we dined in and the food was pretty good. Second time we ordered to go got the mongolian beef that was 50% onion and barely any beef. We also got orange chicken witch was unedable, hard and dry that you couldn't chew through it. For a meal that's 65.82$ without the sides I would expect a little bit more quality. In the picture you can see the amount of onion left on the plane after eating quite a bit. Parking: Bigvopen plaza
This is your run of the mill, typical dim sum place that also offers the usual Chinese food. The wait was pretty long to be seated at a table. Service was great until you have a dispute with them. Unfortunately they don’t leave a copy of the dim sum dishes you order in our case 15 total dishes, and we received a wrong dish and was missing a dish. When asking about their error, the waitress tried to charge for the 1 item we had accidentally ate on a dish that wasn’t what we ordered. KEEP A COPY OF WHAT YOU ORDERED! Otherwise than that, the food was alright. Typical dim sum portions are usually about 3-4 items per bowl depending on the food. In this case, most of it was 3 but the sizes were pretty small. Particularly the famous and well known soup, shrimp and beef dumplings/shumais all had very sticky and almost dried out skins that tasted like it was sitting out for a while. This is probably the result of them bringing every dim sum dish out at once instead of preparing each one on a cart when ready. The Korean pancakes were unfortunately a disappointment and tasted way more like “nian gao” which has a very sticky rice cake texture to it, instead of tasting a thicker or even crispier dough to it. Ginger Bistro wouldn’t be too bad if you’ve never had dim sum before, but I wouldn’t come regularly.
Ginger Bistro has been a round for a bit now. I don't even think I was writing reviews the first time we went. I can tell you though, that the first time we went, it was awful. But, they had just started and they only had an idea of what they wanted to be as a restaurant. After overhearing that the owners changed a bit ago we decided to come back and try their food, at the behest of a friend of course. So we did. Dim Sum! A dish that originated in the Cantonese culture in China has finally made its way here and in a perfect state. These dumplings actually have 1,000 different types and after coming here, I wish I could try them all. Soup dumplings to steam buns, wheat dumplings to rice noodle rolls. No Ginger Bistro doesn't carry them all but who would? Instead, their selection is a 'top favorites' type list and I suggest you try them all. Not all at once though The entree Really good! They had some issues because I wanted duck but they didn't have it. They said we could wait 45 minutes BUT it wasn't worth it. So we got orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. My wife got a steaming plate of short ribs and we loved our meals. The cons Single serve drinks. I mean, a can of sprite? Keeping costs low, I get it. If I want a refill, then I'll have to buy another one but fountain drinks have been around since forever so switch please! No duck. Though I was looking forward to it, it wasn't a big deal. Maybe next time. But I know why your here, it's not to read this review, but to look at the pictures, haha. So here you go. [EDIT] We had to come back for the duck so as of 1/9, we still like the place. Here are more photos
Sitting arrangement is great for lunch dates or dinner dates for groups over four. The price is middle road not high end but not lowest. The taste is good and the presentation is wonderful. I had a duck and noodles which was absolutely delicious. The dumplings were tasty also. We will be a frequent customer moving forward. My wife and I came here for dinner and we were very happy. Recommend dine in over takeout for authenticity.
Absolutely worth the 30 min wait for a table! I wanted a tofu pad thai & so they made it up special for me. The flavor was Amazing! A fabulous comfort food flavor. I highly recommend it & will be back to try other dishes!

I just found this today.
We stopped by for lunch! I don’t know why finding Chinese food is so much harder then other restaurants. But we trusted the reviews and glad we did. The Orange Chicken was our favorite along with these other items.
Dim sum and other dishes are all delicious and on point. Stick to what you know.
12/25/2022...I channeled my Jewish half & went out for Chinese food on Christmas Day. Some days the service is better than others but today was perfect. The server was GREAT and the food was even better. We ordered Mongolian beef, orange beef & pork lo mein....All perfect. The food is always great and Ginger Bistro is our go to for Chinese food in Fort Myers. No ancient Chinese secret here.
