I love this place! I drive more than an hour out my way to go here for special occasions. The crab cakes are always a-must-have appetizer (for me). I just wish they offered more seating for dine-in and a larger bar.

Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, HUGE HUGE HUGE menu with seafood, Italian, and steak options. Servers are friendly and omnipresent. Very large servings, most plates can be shared or take half home with you. Reservations possible, usually busy for dinner, parking lot is less than ideal.

It was ok. We had 4 in our party. The first day they lost our reservation so we made a reservation for the next day. It was small and cramped. Most of the food was good but my husband's fish came out cold. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him about the fish. He offered to throw it in the microwave. Other than that our visit was fine.

I'm generally very fond of Giovanni's, but tonight was very different. First, the table behind us consisted on a large group enjoying their evening, perhaps too loudly, as many other patrons brought to the waitresses' attention that the group was excessively loud and disturbing on some of the context of their discussions. So be it, it's a beautiful place to gather for great food and great company. However, the waitresses also complained they couldn't hear the other patrons' orders due to the noise level, which caused a delay in the kitchen.

I heard a lot of hype about this place prior to my visit. However, I found nothing exceptional, and in fact there are at lest two negatives worth mentioning. First, the complimentary bread was served with a herbal dipping sauce. Typical Italian restaurant fare, however, the bread needed no dipping because it was absolutely soaked with oil already. Just the sight of a puddle of oil at the bottom of the bread basket is enough to quell an appetite. Second, I ordered tiramasu for desert, my favorite, and another typical Italian dish. They completely botched it by drizzling chocolate syrup all over it. The result was tiramasu that tasted just like herseys chocolate syrup, ugh!
