The Glen Ellyn Historical Society has dedicated itself to preserving and chronicling Glen Ellyn's rich history. We maintain Stacy's Tavern Museum and sponsor many educational events and programs.

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is dedicated to researching, collecting, preserving and presenting the history of Glen Ellyn and to educating and engaging the community in understanding the effect of its heritage on the present and future. It operates Stacy's Tavern Museum, a restored 1840's stagecoach inn, at 557 Geneva Road; Stacy's Corners Store at 800 N. Main Street; and the History Center, also at 800 N. Main Street, where it has its archives, Center for Historical Research, and offices, and where numerous programs and special events are hosted throughout the year. The Glen Ellyn Historical Society was founded in 1969, and is a 501(c)(3) organization.
