The Glendale Arizona Historical Society is designated as a Certified Historical Society by the Arizona Historical Society.

Story

The Glendale Arizona Historical Society provides guided tours at both of their properties, Manistee Ranch and Sahuaro Ranch:

Sahuaro Ranch Guest House (59th Avenue & Mountain View):
Ocotober to May, Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
No charge, donations appreciated

Manistee Ranch Main House & Office (51st Avenue & Northern Avenue)
1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month-October through May (ending May 7)
Adults $5.00, Seniors $4.00, Ages 6 to 16 $1.00

Mission

To promote public awareness and appreciation of the history of Glendale and the surrounding region. The Glendale Arizona Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets documentary material and material objects and it disseminates historical information and supports scholarly research. The Society fosters interest in the past, formal historical inquiry and informal information exchanges, believing that an understanding of the past illuminates the present and gives vision for the future.

Weddings at Sahauro Ranch's Rose Garden:

Facilitating Rose Garden weddings at Sahuaro Ranch is a popular and important part of what we do at the Glendale Arizona Historical Society. If you have never been to the Guest House or Rose Garden at Sauaro Ranch we encourage you to come in for a tour and to speak with us about your wedding.

Our prices for facilitating a wedding are based on the number of guests that will be attending.
