As was his wish, my beloved husband Ed was laid to rest on May 3, 2017 at Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve. We had researched green burial as an alternative to a traditional funeral and visited the preserve a few years ago. We loved the property and the idea of a natural burial in the woods. Mr. Wilkerson and the staff could not have been more gracious and helpful in helping me fulfill my husband's last wish. I will be forever grateful to all of them for making such a difficult time easier for everyone.

I love Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve. My sister and several friends have been laid to rest here. It is so beautiful and serene. I go there often and there is always something new that captures my eye or heart. I have met some wonderful people there as they laid a family member to rest.

I recently buried my beloved wife at Glendale Nature Preserve. I love nature and I am grateful for what the Wilkerson Family did to help preserve it. My beloved wife, Rose was laid to rest in a beautiful natural setting. The plain hardwood coffin was hand made by John and Bill Wilkerson. Now my beloved lifelong partner in life rests peacefully in a serene spot at the nature preserve. To all who have lost a loved one and wish to honor their memory this is the place to gently lay their treasured remains in the pure and holy mother earth. All that is required is that nothing that can contaminate the earth is used to help them return to the boson of this beautiful land we call home. Direct natural burial is an inexpensive and a very reverend way to bury family or friend. There is also a section for our pets. The Lopez family hopes we can return to a more natural and respectful way of living and dying. I thank again, the Wilkerson family and their staff for a memorable and comforting day when I had to say 'until we meet again' to my Rose.

It looks closed, and looks like people live there. I don't think it is a good idea to go explore private property. Legal issues and all.....

It is a beautiful, peaceful alternative to a cemetery. There are wild flowers, butterflies, and birds around a forest of trees and other wildlife. It's very natural, and unique. My grandmother was a dog lover, and dogs were also allowed to be at the ceremony.
