Bicycling on the Katy Trail September 2017, stop by Harrisburg Mo. after a long day on trail. Made reservation at The Globe Bed & Breakfast in Hartsburg. Spoke with Leaia making reservation and was informed there was no eating facilities available durning our stay and offered evening meals durning our stay. Upon our arrival we were meet by Leaia and Mark the owners of the bed and breakfast who were very nice and made us welcomed. The bed and breakfast was an old hotel before Leaia and Mark took over and it is very nice and cozy. The room we stayed in was very nice and clean, the bathroom was large and very nice, they have showers in the back which I took advantage of. We asked when we wanted breakfast served and it was waiting for us. Mark cooked us up some great omelets with some grilled potatoes and fruit and yogurt along with some great coffee. The serving was more than what I'm use to eating but we ate all of it which was useful on our bike ride. This place is very nice and if ever passing through this area of Missouri I will plan to stay again.

My husband and I stayed here last night and couldn't speak more highly of this place! Warm and welcoming folks who made us feel right at home with a home cooked meal of chicken, veggies and rice with a delicious carrot cake dessert! Breakfast in the morning was fruit and yogurt parfait, cinnamon rolls and sausage mushroom omelette--more than enough food for sustained energy on the Katy!

Four of us on recumbent trikes spent an absolutely wonderful evening at this hotel.  The new owners were just settling in but we could not have wanted for warmer and more welcoming folks.  I even had some bike parts shipped ahead to them and they were waiting when we arrived.  Terrific breakfast, wonderful company.  Definitely put the Globe on your list of places to stay along the Katy Trail.

Our group of five bikers stayed at the Globe Hotel for one night while riding across Mo. on the Katy trail.  We had a very pleasant and comfortable experience.  The meals were delicious and presented very nicely.  It was fun to get acquainted with the host and hostess.
