I absolutely love Go Greek. One of the only places that you can go in and get a healthy meal that is freshly made, delicious and macro friendly. The ingredients are clean and I have never once gotten a stomach ache from this food which is major for me. You can see how hard the kitchen staff works and how frequently fresh food is put out. The chicken gyro meat and spicy feta are hands down my favorite. 10/10 easiest way to fit a meal into your macros that tastes amazing.
I ordered takeout from here, I really just didn't enjoy the food. I got the Greek salad with lamb and the go fries. I know the order was to-go but the fries were just very undercooked and just pale looking. Also the meat was cut in these enormous chunks as you can see from my pictures, comically sized. I really just did not enjoy the taste of it very much. The salad was good aside from everything else.
Tried it for the first time and it was really worth it! Felt that is was a little dry and a little more sauces could be added but apart from that the Power Bowl was worth it! The chicken was well cooked and juicy.
The food is amazing here and the service is one of a kind. I strongly recommend checking this spot out when you get a chance. They have an excellent menu too.
Update during covid: Haven't been here in awhile but the menu is different, a bit harder to navigate through and read. I tried ordering online, and if you're trying to order a platter or bowl it is difficult the way they set up the options. The quality took a dive. Just like majority of restaurants they are limited with staff. There's definitely a loss of customer service. The food wasn't that good. I ordered the cheat day, the standard, and go fries. The fries weren't cooked all the way. The rice was supposedly a lemon oregeno brown rice, it was just really dry flavorless brown rice. The gryo meat was unpleasantly dry. The pork kebab was mostly fat chucks. One of the people preparing the food was taking bites of the food, as she was preparing. The place used to have a wonderful menu and since it was bought out the quality went out the window. 4yrs ago: The staff was so nice. Great fries. Love the Greek Souvlaki, the pork on with so good!
Great place in Garden City for Greek food. I love the Greek salad with grape leaves. The chicken and lamb is great as well. Nice seating inside and outside.
I was off today so I came here for an early lunch with hubby. Let me explain, I have passed this place many times because I thought it was a yogurt shop. Friday after I picked up some tasty risotto from Walk Street I figured let me take home some yogurt from this Go Greek place. I was so shocked to see it was Greek food and not an icecream shop. I was also disappointed because the food looked yummy and smelled delicious. So all weekend I've been waiting to get back to work so I could come here for lunch. Well I couldn't wait and came to try this food. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED. firstly we were greeted with big smiles and the staff was very helpful, helping us pick our meal. We both chose the pita with chicken and toppings with the lemon chicken soup. Now if I was eating the soup alone I would have needed more salt n pepper added but it was perfect with the sandwich. We were full but not stuffed. The food was clean not heavy or greasy. Did I mention that they put French fries in the sandwich...mmmmmm. I cannot wait to go back. What a gem, so happy I went there.
I'm no food snob by any means, but this place is not good Greek food. This is a "trying to be hip" Greek spot. I had the chicken gyro which was decent, my friend had the lamb which was too chewy and not flavorful. The tzatziki was good, but that's about it. Also, over priced for what it is. They claim they butcher their meats in shop which is why prices are high. Why does that matter if the flavor is absent? Not worth it for the price. There are much better Greek spots in NYC that offer more food at much better prices.
Yikes. What happened to this place? Loved it in the past, 2 terrible lunches in a row now...If they told me this was yesterday's chicken I would feel better, because that it what the texture is telling me.
Just got dry burnt but somehow raw chicken fingers and floppy fries from the kids menu. These people don't care if they give salmonella poisoning to children! Blown away how horrible this place is. So glad I cut up my kids food and realized, absolutely disgusted! Neverrrr eat here!
