My stylist is Paula and she is the best! She is punctual, pleasant, & always does a fantastic job on my hair. I usually see her every 2 weeks very early in the morning so I don't get to see the salon bustling with people throughout the day. The salon is very nice, always clean, and has free covered parking. I always feel comfortable in the salon.

Yes I love this salon. It’s such a professional yet cool laid back environment! It’s I. Midtown which makes the jazz of it all even better. The stylist there can lay some health hair or weave. But it’s one in particular who has the most talented hands... IVY. None else will ever touch my hair after Shan has blessed it! If you’re looking for a salon! Just go here!

I went to Angel Thornton in March for faux locs. My original appointment was for 3.24.18 at 11am she rescheduled for 3.24 at 4pm. Mind you I was leaving on 3.25 for a bday vacation. Then called back and rescheduled me for Tuesday of that week. *Inconvenient * she washed, blow dried, and trimmed the heat damage she caused from my appointment prior. The locs unraveled the NEXT DAY hair completely showing she blamed it on the jewlery which most of the messed up locs didnt have jewlery.  Was gone out of town so she couldnt fix her mess. I was leaving for vacay that Sunday..thankfully my cousin is a stylist and gave me what I paid for. I asked for a refund of the locs only since what she did ,did not last 1 day. She told me she doesnt offer refunds but can send me a VIDEO to fix it as if I was a stylist that could do my own hair that was her whole purpose.
 * UNPROFESSIONAL*  we went back and forth with me asking for her to consider a refund this time since she was out of town and the vacation would be over by the time she got there. She declined and offered no solution but to deal with it. DO NOT GO TO ANGEL IN GOCHA SALON... THE OTHER STYLISTS SEEM NICE AND ALTHOUGH ANGEL IS SKILLED THIS TIME SHE FAILED. GLADLY TOOK MY MONEY THOUGH...I WILL NOT BE BACK OR REFER ANYONE TO THIS SALON SINCE THEY CLEARLY ARE OK WITH THEIR CLIENTS BEING TREATED LIKE THIS.

I LOVE my hair! Treana did a fabulous job on my very natural looking full sew in w/minimal leave out. My favorite part about my visit was Brandy, one of the assistant shampooer/braiders. She actually made conversation and didnt make me feel like just another body in the salon. My only complaint is that since it was my first ever sew in, I had concerns that I repeatedly emailed about the week leading up to my appt. and no one ever responded. I almost canceled as a result because I'm HUGE on professionalism. But the experience made up for it and I encourage anyone reading to pay them a visit!

RUN, RUN, RUN.....Unprofessional, stylist shows up 1.5 hours late for your appointment while your sitting with wet hair for 1.5 hours because the assistant washed it to stall for her to come to work.  

Eight (8 hours ) in the salon for flat iron.  No respect for your time, even when you show up on time. 

The worse part was she decided to just add an additional $90 MORE dollars to the total quoted prior to starting the service.  At check out (NO EXTRA SERVICE GIVEN) they just go, oh we are going to charge more.  The reason given was we washed your hair so it cost $90.  So my $170 total does not cover washing my hair???  Over $300 TOTAL.    RUN, worse stuff ever. TAKE YOUR MONEY WHERE THEY APPRECIATE AND RESPECT YOU AND YOUR TIME.
