This was my first time at the resort or this type of resort. We were there for a wedding. Our room was fairly clean but was not quite ready when we arrived. Bed linens were clean. Since we were part of a wedding we were to have received towels and a coffee basket which we had to ask for. Others in our group did not ask so did not get. Their bed linens had not been changed and their room was full of spiders. The wedding hall was a good size. All the food was very good. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food there was also very good. It was a long weekend and the resort was very busy.

The stay was great up until Friday night. Come Friday night the place turned into a free for all with parties and golf carts racing around crashing and drinking and yelling until early morning. The place quickly turned from a family resort to an unsafe party place. This is definitely not a family resort... or at least on weekends it's not. During the week while we were there it was great. I will definitely not be going back.

Customer service has definitely been amazing. Thank you for being great! We stayed in one of the condo units. The living area and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen is outdated, but came equipped with all the essentials... except dish soap. Overall we have really enjoyed our time here and would totally come back for a longer stay in the future :)

We have been going to this resort for years. My rating is a solid average. The food at the restaurant is an easy 5. But the changes over the years have turned this place into a free for all. Too many people crammed into to small of a space. The love has been lost at Golden Beach. It now feels like someone's cash cow, not the family driven place it used to be.

Golden Beach Resort is a large cottage/campground complex with a good array of amenities. It is a 1-2 hour drive from Toronto and is situated on the weedy, shallow Rice Lake. Fishing is poor in Rice Lake, and does not offer the same beauty of the lakes in northern Ontario. The cost of staying at Golden Beach is higher than its nearby competitors, but it is unclear where the money is spend - grounds are not well maintained, and most of the facilities are tired and dirty. The beach itself is small and not inspiring. The resort is suited well for children with its pool and splash pad, but the area is small and frequently crowded. Overall, an average experience but disappointing considering the price. Best for families, not as well suited for adults and fishermen.
