Seems like Southern style home cooking. Had fried fish, baked fish, chicken livers and gravey, string beans and sweet potatoes. All were good. Had bread pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Good too. Restaurant was clean, service was good and the help was friendly. Ho Hum ambiance but it is Golden Corral. Worth the money.

Went to Golden Corral on Watt Ave in North Highlands on Mon Nov 13th. This is the night they honored Veterans for Veterans Day. All Veterans received a free meal on that day. They were ready to handle the huge crowds that showed up. They had Army Cadets in the parking lot to help with the parking. The line was out the door and into the parking lot. It was a half hour wait to forty five minutes to get seated. That was fast compared to the crowd that was there. The quality of the food was great and the service was excellent considering the huge crowd they had. Thank you Golden Corral for honoring Vets we appreciate it.

Very good menu. Of late the prices have gone up but so has everything else so I guess I can forgive that issue. The menu is well worth the price. One of the best buffet available.

The quality of food has gone way down since it's opening. I have had some good food here in the distant past, but the bad experiences outweigh the good ones. I've eaten at this buffet almost 20 times. Numerous times the BBQ chicken (which is my favorite dish) is pink inside and almost raw needs to be cooked LONGER it's not the sauce that makes it that color. I know chicken I have a southern background. The fried chicken is also not that great it's almost always unseasoned or not cooked thoroughly (though not bleeding) it's just not as good as I remember it being in the beginning when they first opened. It's obvious that the veggies (cooked) and fruits from the salad bar are from a can cause I can taste the aluminum! The Italian, Chinese and Mexican foods here were ALWAYS bad from the start, I can't ever eat any of it. It's just not good food. The dessert is the best part of this buffet. From now on I'm just gonna eat dessert first and then nibble on the foods that I didn't mention here that are tolerable that doesn't leave me many options.

Went for a wedding rehearsal dinner. We had a private room. Very clean, bright. Food was excellent, large variety, and the right temps. The kids loved the cotton candy at the dessert bar.
