Global icon I've always wanted to visit. Finally reached it today after leaving Canada three weeks ago by bicycle. There is a great visitor center with washrooms, there are great vantage points outside to take photos, and then there is a walkway crossing under the bridge that I used with my bike to climb the Marin headlands for more views and the classic shot of the whole bridge with city behind. 

The bridge crossing itself by bike was great. Warning signs before hand of the winds and recommend walking bikes but I rode anyway. There are clearly marked sides for bikes and people which was followed by majority of people on the bridge which made it very pleasant to cross  

Security are present on the bridge with so many people around and I guess the chance or jumpers. They would also ensure people cleared busy areas, especially when going around the supports which are a bit blind on a bike. 

Overall fantastic experience. So happy to finally see the bridge, it is beautiful and impressive, and riding over was enjoyable.

Just visited USA...San Francisco, Honolulu and Chicago, all different and special in their own way. But you pay a lot for your purchases and you are expected to give an over generous gratuity on top, even if no apparent service has been provided. Despite that we had a wonderful time and met lots of lovely people. God bless America.

This is a beautiful bridge. The panoramic views of the bridge don't do it justice. You have to get up close and walk out on the bridge to truly see all the detail and beauty it has to offer. From the bridge you have excellent views of the city and Alcatraz. I will go back and I would highly recommend.

Amazing views of the bridge and the marina. Historic landscape, no questions asked, but could be managed and maintained a lot better. The added barricades are spoiling the view, and I think there should be more cleaning for a site visited by thousands of people every day.

Truely is an amazing, iconic structure!! In August 2017, I had the chance to walk the whole span and the views from the bridge were breathtaking. Also, I got to see a few humpback whales swimming towards the city. Just a little warning: watch out for some bike cyclists as they tend speed down the path.
