Nice little spot to get good Jamaican food. Young lady was only one working there but was holding it down. Busy around lunch. Food was hot and very tasty. I was not disappointed Vegetarian options: Food served without meat Parking: Hard to gind parking around lunch time Wheelchair accessibility: Limited handicap parking
Normally? I don't have such poor reviews. I really don't like giving them. However, this place left me no choice. One great thing? It was very clean. Immaculate! I don't know what kind of Jamaican food they're serving. I also haven't tried everything they have to offer. But what I can say, based on my purchases, I would NEVER buy anything from this place again, unless it's a bottled beverage. It's a DISGRACE to Jamaican food. As a Jamaican, I was shocked. Everything purchased was AWFUL...Okay, the Chicken Soup was drinkable, but it failed in taste - it was bland. The patties were dry beyond sense, the coco bread was coco bad & tough, the harddough bread tasted terrible - what happened??? The bun? The bun was dry & stale - really guys? The bun? Even the darn cheese for the bun was wretched. It lacked taste, and was too hard. The darn cheese made a sound, when dropped on the counter. Whhhyyy??? Now in their defense? They only prepared the soup, as everything else was pre-done & packaged. However, it's still disappointingly sad. I'm Jamaican, and I know good Jamaican food, when I taste it. I had a feeling, from the minute I walked in, that the food was going to be doubtful. Why? There was no wonderful cooking odor in the air. A dead give-away. Food is supposed to slap you in the face from outside, but marinate your senses, at the very least, when you walk through the door. This definitely was not the case. The customer service was great mind you, wonderful. But the food? I feel my Sister & I deserve our $53.22 returned. No...NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again. If you're looking for real Jamaican food? This isn't it. Vegetarian options: They had veggie patties.
Not only was the food disgusting the service was terrible! The fried dumping was not cooked, save your self the trouble of coming here. Then the oxtail was tough and under seasoned and the owners wife wouldn’t even return my money back. But due to the health conditions of the food especially the FRIED dumplings I will be reporting the state and my bank. Don’t eat here. What a waste of 32 dollars
Ackee is good.needs more flavor and less onions .also portion size isn't reasonable for 14.99.but overall good just needs to be seasoned well and less onions and a little more portion of food .update I ordered again today this time as you can see on the right the food is lesser portion
Hands down the best Curry Chicken with Rice and peas in Kissimmee , the curry chicken has a hint of spice that’s so good, I asked for curry juice on the rice and they did just that. Amazing!! Thanks to the cooks for this amazing lunch. All they need is curry on the lunch menu lol.
I do not try to be negative and certainly hoping my experiences over the years should help the franchise owner to step up their product quality, in terms of the quality l know it is there but only when the product is freshly done and served on a daily basis. My giving my good hard earned money is anticipation of receiving good fresh food and not always stale and overnight left over warmed up and how do you figure we will not know it's not fresh. I usually go early morning near mid day and l happened to try late afternoon and the food was great. I have called even to complain as l get take out, get home not expecting to spend so much money in exchange for bad food. I am Jamaican, and we not about suing but others might if they claim to have gotten sick from eating stale meat, especially chicken even when you brown stew it you can tell its stale. I spoke to the person that works there on the phone she was very polite and offered for me to come back and she could make it right. Lady!! You have no clue, you think l am going to drive so many miles to come back for you to give me fresh food that l should have gotten on my first visit? I can only hope you keep us coming back and the cleanliness was pure awesomeness. This is a easy fix. I suggest you take inventory of your product sales and try to put out a certain amount. So what if the fish is finished, l certainly will order something else with no hesitation because everything is fresh, tasty and palatable. I am not giving up on you. I love that you are...Representing!!!! I know you can get it right. Nuff luv.
When I got home I was surprised that I got a snapper 1/2 the size and was charged full price. Normally the snapper tail would be sticking out the large container. When I called the store, they said that is the size we received, so I asked why would you charge me for the full price. She said the register was being used and could not check. I recommend that you check the food before leaving the store. My wife usually order the food, but for me they slipped in a small fish.
Came here for the first time for lunch, when it was my turn to order I said it was my first time and wanted sum suggestions but the way the lady treated me was not pleasant. I don't think she wanted to deal with a new customer at the time. Sucks because I would have been a loyal customer.
Good Jamaican food here, loved the patties but the coco bread wasn't all that fresh...still pretty good for only going there a hand full of timesFood: 4/5
First time eating at this location. Beef patty was pretty good, jerk chicken patty looked horrible and taste wasn’t any better. The expensive oxtail dinner $16.49 was tender, lacked flavor and was mediocre overall. Prices seemed very high overall, especially for the quality being served. Service was good. I’ll stick to the one on Colonial Rd Pine Hills for much better food.
