golden palace is an basic Chinese take out restaurant, large portion and inexpensive. if you need something quick, that is the place. I ordered $20 honey duck from Thai Thai once, it tasted horrible. You could tell it was a frozen product, they just put it in the microwave and heat it up. But their dining in service is good. perking chief is an other nice place if you looking for table service, more expensive than take out restaurant,smaller portion.

Call in for a order and because girl did not know location they lost out on huge order. Very rude girl answering phone. Sorry dunno how good was.

If you're already on Public Square without time to go further and you really want Chinese food, they'll provide some. It's edible, not absolutely terrible, and they've handled my food allergy successfully. If a coworker is bringing back takeout, I'll occasionally add my own lunch to the list. But there is MUCH better Chinese food in the area (Ho Yi, Peking Chef) if you have a choice. Or, just get Thai or Mexican instead; both Thai Thai and El Zócalo are within two blocks of this location, and both excellent.

This place is so DAMN expensive and cheap. On the menu they tell you after $30 you get free food or a 2 liter pepsi but everytime I asked them for it they tell you , you need to purchase something else. The service sucks . Go somewhere else for chinese food .

to Marlene G, you said everytime so you keep coming back to the restaurant but telling people to go somewhere else. there are so many different restaurant if you dont like them, you go somewhere else, but I do like them.
