Golden Spike Burgers is located in Garland, Utah, roughly 30 miles from where the gold spike was driven in to signal the completion of the transcontinental railroad, back in the mid-1800s. An award on the premises notes that they have the best burgers in town (however, keep in mind that the population is only 2,500). Ordered: Cheeseburger & Fries. Pros - surprisingly tasty patty, comes with all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles), grilled onions are available on request, they serve thick fries (not my fave) but they are crispy. Cons - comes with their default sauce, the bun falls apart easily, the cheese was not completely melted. #20days20burgers

Ordered the pastrami burger combo since it was the daily special. Upgraded to milkshake instead of a soda. Was pleasantly surprised. The burger had about a pound of pastrami on it. Fries were fresh and hot. Shakes are from Peach City ice cream. All in all a great place with fast and friendly service.

The Golden Spike burger is amazing. It's pretty massive but has everything I love on it, (except for pizza). When I asked if the onions that came on it were raw, the server said yes but quickly added that they could grill the onions if we preferred. We shared the burger (amongst other things from nearby shops) and both loved it. It is messy/drippy, but aren't all delicious burgers?!

A diamond in the rough, I have never been disappointed with a single order. The food is made fresh and cooked to order. I have eaten here hundreds of times and keep going back.

Cool little home-town burger spot. Clean. Friendly staff. The burgers were huge with a generous serving of fries on the side. We had a Pastrami, Golden Spike, and Double Cheese - all excellent. Wife and daughter split the gyro platter and had plenty. If you're on your way past Tremonton on I-15 going either direction, it's worth the 5 minute drive to stop here for some great grub!
