Story

As Minnesota’s first county historical society, the Goodhue County Historical Society was chartered in 1869. Our facility features over a dozen exhibit spaces, a full-service research library, educational programs, and gift shop.

The mission of the Goodhue County Historical Society is to serve as the steward for county history by collecting, preserving, and promoting the natural and cultural history of Goodhue County and its people.

I have a soft spot for history. There's a wide range of exhibits hear from local history Native American and Industry.

Long recognized as one of the top county historical societies in the nation. Exhibits are well researched spanning thousands of years of human history. Great hands on activities for kids.

An enjoyable morning in Red Wing with Leonard Cosmo. Especially enjoyed the History Center.

The exhibits were really nice, and Family Fun day was a great deal. The lefse demo and samples were my favorite.
