Initially I rated this store 4 stars. I am now giving it a 3 star rating. I visited the store a couple of days ago, found a couple items and approached a register to pay right before closing time. A woman I had never seen before rang up my items.  She turns to me and asks if I qualify for the Senior Program?  ARE YOU BLIND?   I AM IN MY LATE THIRTIES.  THE WOMAN HAD NOT EVEN TURNED TO LOOK AT ME BEFORE  OPENING HER UNINTELLIGENT MOUTH- I LOOK BETTER AND AM WAY THINNER IN MY LATE THIRTIES THEN THIS WOMAN LOOKS  IN HER EARLY THIRTIES.  dumbass . i would fire you in a heartbeat for something as stupid as that.

Look around and you will find things you needed and things you didnt know you needed.  The Goodwill store here has lots of visitors everyday.  The employees do a great job keeping it tidy (bathrooms included) and  well stocked.  Shoppers are greeted as they enter the store and the employees are readily available should you have any questions at all.  If they dont kno the answer, they try to find someone who does..  Shopping at the Goodwill, in any of its locations, is a win-win situation.  Shoppers find great stuff at great prices and local  people get training and/or a job.  So what exactly does The GoodWill store sell? My answer is , what dont they sell?  You will find new and used items, vintage, rare, antiques, old and new books, childrens toys, luggage, golf clubs, motorcycle helmets, purses, shoes new and old, mattresses new and used,small appliances, electronics, clothes, kitchen stuff, pet stuff, lamps, etc.  This lication also has an auction for more expensive items or designer labels. As you enter the store you will see a sign with a color on it. This means any item with a price tag color  matching that  color is 50% off. WOOHOO!  There is only one reason  I am rating the Soledad, Ca location only 4 stars and not 5 and this why:  The store closes at 8 pm.  I have entered the store at 7:30 pm numerous occasions and each time they shut the lights off around 7:40 pm.  An employee announces% "the store will be closing in 15 min  please come to the register to pay".  It is difficult to shop in dark aisles.  Plus they make you feel rushed by announcing repeatedly that the store will close in 15 minutes. As a shopper I feel rushed and I think the whole closing process is simply rude and unprofessional. I have visited other Goodwill stores near closing  time and they didnt turn the lights off till everyone was out of the store.  While the store is not in complete darkness, it could still cause someone  to slip or  trip and fall .
