First time visiting the diner for lunch and we had a great time. I ordered a cocktail and coffee and both tasted great. I ordered the mandarin chicken salad with cold noodles and Thai dressing, it was very delicious and the portion size was huge. My mom got pancakes, eggs and bacon and she enjoyed it very much. They were understaffed, but there was virtually no wait time. The staff was very quick and courteous. Our server was Susana and she was super sweet. Her twin sister also works there and she was delightful as well. We'll definitely be back!
I have to honestly say; we haven't really been out or had a good meal that we enjoyed in a very long time during the whole pandemic! This sit down diner was the best food I've had in a long time. The waitresses are always pleasant to talk they are always checking if you need anything. The pancakes are the best! Actually all the food is great. This will be our new go to place date night & with the family. Its Great!
Super delicious food. I had the Brooklyn Burger and the Techno Fries also known as Disco Fries in other New Jersey diners. The Brooklyn Burger was delicious, freshly made. The Techno Fries may look just like cheese fries but beneath the cheese is Brown Gravy. Excellent New Jersey staple! Also excellent service. I love the aesthetic and decor with all the New York City subway signs and art and Batman theme. Highly recommend Gotham City Diner for the whole family.
Super impressed with the kids food choices. For $7.99 you can pick a kids meal that is served with a drink and dessert. My 2 girls enjoyed apple juice and Vanilla ice cream with their kid meals. My one child chose macaroni and cheese and it was a decent sized portion. Her eyes got big and she yelled yayyyyy as the food was served. For NJ diner this was average/ above average experience/food. I do recommend this establishment and would return if given the chance.
The food was tasty, better than what I expected, and a cute theme dinner. Our server was super sweet.
Burgers are very good, the environment is very calm, you can have good conversations here. I would definitely recommend. The price is very reasonable as the portions are large.

Waited a very few minutes during a busy Sunday brunch time for a table for 5. Staff was appropriately attentive, food well & quickly prepared. Everyone enjoyed that they ordered. Only negative: it was a little difficult to hear someone on the opposite side of the table. May be a function of aging ears; perhaps getting a table on other side of the restaurant, where floor has carpeting would have been worth waiting for. I'll definitely bring folks there again.
It is a cute place, good size portions and friendly staff.
I give it a solid four stars, it's good but not great but definitely recommend. We sat in the section where there were booths and those were nice. You have to look closely and you see the wings of Batman and Robin mixed in the tile on the ceiling. There is also signs of Railroad Station stops in New York and I think that was a nice touch. Service was very good and attention waiter. What seemed a little outdated is upon walking in the restaurant there is a section upon entering at the tables and that part of the restaurant looks a little antiquated. Otherwise it's a very good experience as there is a mini bar in the place. Overall nice job and yes I'll be back for another meal. Keep up the great work and keep creative with signs and design in the business.
