This was a nice cafe next to the museum of industry. They home make their chai and it was interesting but not bad. The latte was very good and well made. The service was very good. I like the atmosphere and location. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options Parking: Parking available Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Probably unusual, but we were there on a weekend afternoon and they hadn't had any food delivery that day, so all they had for sale was boxed salad. We got the salmon salad, and it was fresh and not bad. Very simple place with cafeteria -style seating. Nice views of the boats and Lake Union
A great spot to grab a sandwich or salad and enjoy lake union!
I'm familiar with this place because they have rooms that they rent out to nonprofit charitable groups and perhaps others. They had a remodel during the pandemic which improved the general space and also gave some flexibility to divide up the space into multiple rooms as there are now collapsible walls. As far as using the space for monthly meetings it is pretty well-set-up tables and chairs are available there is a kitchen facility at an additional charge.
It's $10 for a prepared vegetarian burrito, they're almost always out of soup, prices for food aren't posted anywhere, and it always feels like you're getting bad value for the money you do spend.Food: 2/5
Very nice history of Seattle. Love the created musical re: the fire. The glue!! The sandwiches were surprisingly good and filling. A great fun, placeFood: 4/5
This place is pretty bomb—with tons of potential. First of all it’s my favorite good-energy spot to hang out in the city. Right near center for Wooden Boats and the old steamer ships at the mouth of Lake Union, I come here when there’s time to kill in the neighborhood, even when the cafe’s closed. Then there’s the cafe itself. Super-friendly genuine staff and a yummy sandwich/salad menu they make totally in-house, including Macrina pastries, spice blends and infused oils. The Moroccan roasted vegetable salad blew me away, so good I asked for the recipe which they gladly shared. Lastly, the potential. I admit, it has been disappointing when I’ve come down on nice summer evenings after work to grab a refreshing beverage on their open-air patio, only to be reminded they close at 5. Missed opportunity! This place would be THE spot if they had table service and light music into the evenings in warm months. Good news is, the manager here, Betsy, has totally clued into all this and been patiently clearing boxes and red tape behind the scenes to make this vision a reality. So my advice, check it out now, for lunch or on the weekend, while it’s chill before it blows up so you can say “I used to come here when....” :
The food was good as always. Our server was absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best servers I've had personality wise in a very long time. I wish I could remember his name
We came here for lunch today. I have a life threatening allergy to peanuts and while there are no peanuts of any kind on the menu I watched the employee making a peanut butter sandwich. I watched her not wash the board after she made it - wiped it with a cloth. She then made other sandwiches on the board and kept wiping things on the same cloth. I did not order anything and tried to mention how dangerous this cross contamination could be. Luckily I caught it - but what about someone else? The response from both employees was minimal and then I heard the cashier telling her she did nothing wrong etc. That is not cool - hence why I’m writing this review.
MOHAI Cafe is a nice spot for a light lunch or latte'. Great views of Lake Union, the sailboats & floatplanes. Menu is simple and clean. Serves Cafe Vita which is always tops in my book. Light, airy modern cafe you'd expect of a cool spot & museum.
