I've tried most of the baked goods, sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches and they are all very good.  Veggie grinder is way better than expected. Grilled cheese is pretty amazing. The fruit coffee cake is also worth trying and so is the ham and cheese croissant. 

The service is great from like two or three of the staff.  Mary and Ardelle are genuinely kind and friendly.   But most of the others look and act like you are bothering them. 
Even though I've been a regular here for about a year, some of the staff don't greet me and get irritated when trying to engage then with pleasantries. I guess it's part of the Seattle chill, which I deflect back in the tip or lack there of. 
If the two above mentioned people  weren't there my score would be a 2.5 or three at best, and that's only due to the great good.

I *LOVE* this bakery! Mostly the pastries. Great for a quick bite on my way to the bus in the mornings. They have some regular staples as well as rotating seasonal items, like the kids of fruits they'll use. Their sandwiches make great lunches to go or to enjoy sitting out in the sun in the summer. (I recommend the tuna!)
Their bread loaves look really yummy, and smell divine. I like that you can order pies and things for the holidays, too!

Delicious! An excellent breakfast or lunch spot. I love their tuna melt, egg salad sandwich, and iced brioche cinnamon roll. Getting your food can be chaos but it's worth it.

I had a great shrimp roll here, good-sized and with sustainable Oregon shrimp. I ordered during lunch rush but the line moved quickly. Prices are not low, but reasonable for the neighborhood and the nice space. Employees seem great.
