My family were having a hard time with another cemetery and they seemed to be just about the money. I came over to Grand Lawn Cemetery and they were very compassionate and helpful in providing a proper burial for my grandma. The grounds are clean and we'll kept and again they were extremely supportive during a very hard time for my family. I would recommend Grand Lawn Cemetery to anyone looking to have their loved one receive a proper burial

Always dirty looking. I asked years ago to have a headstone raised since it sank and they ran over it all the time with the mowers . Still not done !! Staff is nice and all but they need to keep it up better

#1 No hours, days listed as operational. #2 website link takes you to a Corp. link with no information about this cemetery, but all kinds of Canadian associated businesses and on a search of that web site for this cemetery, It doesn't show anything. Also, you map has no road marker signs, if that intention or is this line finding your way out of a corn maze. I think you need to hire a common sense IT coordinator.

I have six relatives buried here, so family and I come to clean the graves. When I arrived this year, firstly, they had zero flower vases in the bin. Secondly, when I went to the bathrooms they were locked. Shortly afterwards I started to realise how disgraceful this place was, in it's inability to maintain it's land and property. It's appaling and extremely disrespectful. So much of the property was in a state of disrepair. Parts of the fence have been completely knocked down, left hanging and broken. The stone and walls of the fence, the same. Even one section had mitch matched bricks uncaringly and quickly stacked in some sort of attempt to close a gap. (The most repair work they have probably ever done.) The children's section was absolutely horrible. Huge dead trees, stumps left to rot. The fence there looked like someone drove through it with a truck and was never even noticed by staff. Besides the many broken down and old things falling apart, there is literally trash everywhere. I had a hard time finding my fifth great grandfather's headstone because there was literally so much trash there, that it had formed over his grave stone and smashed itself over and into it. Not to mention the grass was completely dead and crunching under our feet the entire time. Overall this is not a beautiful final resting place. I feel horrible that so many of my family lay here, left to suffer in that run down cemetery.

Horrible experience. No compassion. They will attempt to sale you thousands of dollars on a grave site. Leave your emotions in the car and don't be taken by the sharks. Run!! Plenty of choices on Detroit.
