Tried Grand Slam Pizza - Grill & Bar yesterday for the first time. The vibe was great, music made me not want to leave started with the bartenders play list, then customers started playing on the Touch Tunes. The food was absolutely outstanding. The roast beef is what got me there, but the steak and cheese my husband got will definitely bring me back. Perfect amount of cheese and not a single chewy fat piece of steak. I could have gotten 3 meals from the Big Beef. I can’t imagine how big the super would have been. The bartender was doing all the bartending and waiting tables and not one time did we have to wait for anything. Even though it is on Main Street, there’s plenty of parking. We will definitely be back.
Grew up eating North Shore Beefs down in MA, saw pictures of the beefs they were slinging here and had to try it. Easily the best North Shore Beef 3 way I’ve had in NH. Fresh, pink, warm flavorful roast beef sliced nice and thin. Cheese on the bottom, where it belongs. Perfectly griddled onion roll, crispy until the last bite. James River BBQ sauce was warm the way it should be and seemed to have an extra little kick. I usually drive down to Tessi’s in Tewksbury or Bella’s or Londi’s in Andover for a beef, but now I have one 5-10 minutes away. I’ll be back here very often. Also: they have a full bar, tons of TVs, plenty of seating and very friendly service. Seems like it would be a great place to watch some sports. The prices are reasonable too, especially for the quality of the food. I will be back for many more beefs and I will also work my way thru the rest of the menu. The calzone and wings I saw others order looked great, and my wife got a steak tip salad which was delicious and super fresh. Try out Grand Slam Pizza! They make some great food.
The best Roast Beef I've had. And considering how much I've eaten, that is a huge compliment. The bartender was very polite and professional.Food: 5/5
The food here is out of this world delicious! The drinks are made just how you would want when you go out. I’ve had the chicken tenders which are homemade, the roast beef which is the personally the best I’ve had, the salads are well portioned, the pasta dish with sauce was delicious. Make sure you come back throughout the week to check out their specials!
I didn't utilize the bar side, just the food pick up. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything amazing that made you want to come back IMO. I ordered a few things, pizza, tenders, and fries. I'm not sure, but I think the pizza dough is pre-made frozen rounds flavorless and flat. The tenders were OK. They didn't have seasoning and were a bit flat, and the fries were fries. Overall, I'm sure if you're drinking, this food would do just fine, but for a family dinner, I'm going to have to pass. Lastly, the service seemed friendly enough, with no complaints there.
Good bar with friendly staff and great service. The highlight of this place would definitely be the food. The super beef sandwich is the best in the town.Food: 5/5
I gave the atmosphere a four but that's my opinion. The place had a live DJ and that is only on me because it was too loud for my liking. But for someone else, this was a really good place to have q good timeFood: 5/5
We are at the bar and Jenny was fantastic!! She helped with drinks and food decisions! All were excellent!!! Her bar partner Sandy was great too!!! I recommend!!! I will be back!Food: 5/5
Had this via door dash. I ordered the super beef and some other items. I'm not going to comment on the other items. The super beef was effing gross. It was just a ton of roast beef between two buns. No sauce, no seasoning, no cheese. Might as well eat at home. It was gross. I ended up chopping it up, melting cheese on it, adding veggies, and seasoning it. Even Arby's does better with a roast beef sandwich.
We've ordered takeout from Grand Slam a few times since they reopened - they are open on days our preferred place is closed. The food has been pretty good, but things rarely arrive hot. Delivery times are kind of long compared to other places in the neighborhood. Fries are good, mozarella sticks usually arrive lukewarm. We get the impression that chicken tenders and mozarella sticks are fried from frozen. The Honey BBQ sub is pretty good, but a little dry so we order with Mayo. I like the option to add hard boiled egg to a salad & the veg is always crunchy and fresh. Salad dressings are not very good - the house dressing is bitter and not otherwise flavourful, if you order honey mustard it is definitely honey mustard dip and is a bit thick and overbearing on salad. There was an issue on our last order. They changed to a new online ordering system. New system requires manager approval before the order goes to the kitchen - our order sat pending approval for 40 minutes. We had to call to inform management that we had placed an online order. They approved the order, but did not offer to rush so we waited another 40 minutes for it to arrive. Ultimately we ordered at 7:45 and did not receive our food until after 9PM. Grand Slam isn't very high in our list, but we might order from here again if we're not in any rush.
