Great Diner. It's definitely a must try if you are in Port Saint Lucie! They have an enormous menu and the food is fantastic. Staff is always really sweet and friendly.Food: 5/5
Cute dinner, with solid food. Overall the experience was very pleasant. Due note like many business operators they are off setting the sticker shock by adding fees on the back end. In addition, the card machine defaults the tip at 25% for good, 30% for great, and 35% for exceptional service. So if they knock it out of the park they expect 38% extra added to the pricing for food and service. I recommend just bringing cash when you visit and save them the extra fees on credit card transactions, then leave a tip for your server "under the table" like we did in the eighties. A win-win for everyone!
Greeted by the owner upon entry, the wait staff promptly and warmly welcomed us. Once seated the menu is what one thinks when small town diner comes to mind. The tea was cold and fresh and the food was delicious and filling. A Good Meal for a Great Price!Food: 5/5
First time visit and found lunch menu having numerous options. I had a meatball sub, which was just fair, but my spouse had the chicken sandwich very good. French fries came out cold, but our server corrected quickly with hot fries.Food: 4/5
GOOD Food and GREAT prices! I have been going here for years. Good specials and overall great pricing. The food is pretty good for the prices, and I wouldn't expect anything more for how everything is priced out and a lot of places would give you a lot less. Everyone is always very nice and recognizes you once you've been around more than a few times. Love going here with my family and friends.
Service was terrible this time waitress treated us like we were bothering her. The other staff members checked on us more than she did. And when asked if I wanted a receipt I said yes then she responded rudely. We usually pay cash but this was a last minute stop so I don’t know if they always have but they charged 3% of the total bill including tax and tip for using a card. Food was good as always but will definitely get a different waitress next time
One of the hidden gems of Port St Lucie. The food is spectacular. It’s real food, home cooked and nothing frozen or processed. Everything on the menu is amazing. It’s like taking a trip back in time when food was fresh and wonderful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Lauren was our waitress and I highly recommend her. We will go back again and again.
Grandpa’s Diner is SOOO GOOD!!!! All the food I’ve tried from there is like gourmet minus the gourmet price tag. Such good service that the staff provides but THE FOOD is excellent and now I find myself thinking of this place more often. It has become a to go place for me for a family and budget friendly meal. I was in shock at even their chili dog!!!! Ate chili first time in my life with them and didn’t get sick it was actually good!!! But their huge fried shrimp and fries deal wow the shrimp and fries were soo good the shrimp are jumbo sized. I am excited to try more of their foods more often!!!!
This place is great. Been here a few times and everything has always hit the spot. I had their burger, philly cheese steak, turkey club, chicken parm, baked ziti, chicken, breakfast. Everything is always so fresh. Like EVERYTHING. Even the fried calamari and chicken tenders are hand breaded. I'm from NY I really miss Diners so the atmosphere feels unassuming and cozy. No frills but the food is better. No over processed food. Always great service.
Was looking for a place that served Grits this morning and came across Grandpa's Diner. After reading the reviews, we decided to check it out. Being a Sunday morning around 10a, we figured and hoped that morning breakfast rush had already come through. Upon arriving and walking through the door, we were greeted with a "Welcome & Thank you for stopping by". The host immediately sat us and our waitress was at our table within 2 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly, took our drink orders. While waiting for our drinks, we went through the menu, which everything sounded great loaded french fries with chili, cheese, jalapeño caught my eye, but we were there for breakfast not lunch/dinner. The staff was very accommodating to other around us and was cleaning thoroughly as folks left. Every staff member had a mask and was wearing it properly. As our waitress brought us our drinks, we placed our order. The food was delivered within 8 minutes of placing the order. Bill Total: $18.44 1: Veggie Omelette with provolone cheese, home fries & wheat toast light butter PRO- Omelette was very delicious as was the home fries. CON- Omelette was more of scrambled eggs mixed with veggies and the home fries were super greasy. Also with the extra grease on the plate it mixed with the Omelette, down playing the flavor some. TIP: order the home fries on a separate plate 2: 2 Eggs sunny side with bacon, bowl of grits with American cheese & white toast PRO: Eggs cooked perfect, bacon was crispy and not to greasy. Grits were not running, they were a perfect combination of firm and slightly creamy. CON: No Cons on this dish, was very delicious. We would love to come back for lunch or dinner sometime and yes we would recommend Grandpa's Diner. This cozy little hole in the wall in a Grocery plaza seems to be doing the right thing. Thanks for checking out my review. Let me know if you recommend this place and what we should try next at Grandpa's Diner.
