These guys are great. Prices to suit every budget. Phillip and Dan were wonderful to work with, and the installers did a fantastic job. I am really pleased with how my new granite countertops look. If you are looking for granite at affordable prices you can't beat Granite Makeover. Thanks to all who helped me.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with this provider. I think they are probably great with flips and small projects, but we were doing our kitchen and bath, and we plan to stay in our home for a long time. The office seemed a bit disorganized when I would call with scheduling, but I still wasn't too concerned. Phillip is very personable on the phone. The guys who came out to do the work were very nice, but not the most professional - several smoke breaks and leaving the butts in the yard. They didn't have weight belts and they are lifting a lot of weight and complaining about it. When I asked them about it - they said, "yea we probably should, but the company doesn't provide it so we would have to purchase it ourselves." So our kitchen sink cutout was crooked and our countertop for our bathroom was cut about a half inch shorter than I wanted (and by all accounts what is standard in the industry). They really pushed us to accept these things. They actually told me that I had requested the bathroom piece to be cut flush with the counter when I specifically had told the template man to have an overhang...apparently he noted it should be flush. I don't care what he noted - it's not what I said. I would not have said to make it flush - I think that looks silly (even though that's how it is currently). We ended up making the bathroom piece work, but we requested them to fix the kitchen. I also REALLY hated how they referred to miscuts as "caulkable". Take ownership for your mistakes - it makes customers much more forgiving. At first, they send out their fabricator after hours - we did not want them to have to do this, but they wanted to be paid. The guy was so nice and he shows up with his family in the car. My daughter and I played with his son in the yard - I honestly felt bad for him having to be there. Because the hole was too wide in one spot, he really wasn't able to fix it on site and a new slab had to be cut. We asked for no reveal on the sink(google it if you don't know what this means - it is a design preference), which is very doable for experienced granite folk, but even with the second slab, there was still a reveal. The first slab had a crooked hole - the second had a straight hole. They clearly had cut the template exactly which says it has a small reveal. Honestly, it had put our project behind two weeks and we were just happy to have a straight cut, so we left it. We needed to move on with our life.I'm not trying to be cruel - I honestly think they just don't have the expertise to make the exact cuts needed for a complex job. We got to the point where we didn't think we would get a better result even if they did it again. After they left, my husband noticed that the island is cut at a slight angle and we did notice that the quartz comes out about 1/4 inch more on one side of our stove than the other (we didn't notice this because this was a difference from the initial install - the redo slab was a bit wider.) I know the other reviews are all positive, which is what we went off of when we hired them. It could be that our experience was unique, but I wanted to give our experience because it was true for us. They tried to make it right with the redo, but honestly the work is still not up to the quality that we expected for our dream kitchen in our long term home. They were the best price we got. I knew better than to go with the cheapest guy and this just confirmed it. The couple hundred dollars we saved going with them was not worth it. Talk to your friends or contractors in the area - there are some really great Fabricators around. I cannot recommend this company in good conscience. Like I said, everyone is nice enough and I really hate leaving a negative review. My husband actually wanted me to leave one star but I just don't have it in me. The second star is in place just for the simple fact that they tried to get it right with the redo. If you do hire them, I highly recommend that you thoroughly inspect every aspect of the job before final payment. I wish we had done better.

Last week my new granite was installed in the kitchen and I love it!! The whole experience was hassle-free and efficient, from the helpful selection and affordable price with Philip's help to the installation by Dan and the others. I highly recommend anyone interested in a good deal, high quality and people you can trust to give Granite Makeover of the Triad a call!!!!!! A. Clark

I want to compliment the Team for their professionalism from beginning to end! My questions were answered promptly via email and phone calls by Jolie and Cindy. When Dan came out to measure and template- he also answered all my questions. He even confirmed that my granite choice would work well in my kitchen with my appliances/woodwork. Philip, Alex and Steven showed up to do the installation. They were prompt, courteous and neat. I stayed out of the way, but I ran outside to look at the granite in the truck and it was GORGEOUS! Phillip asked if that matched what I expected and I stated, it was. Once the installation was done, they told me to check it out and make sure I was, happy with it. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT. The price, the process and the installation were AWESOME.
