I’m leaving this review because I had to see the doctors from this hospital for two years while we were stationed at Travis Air Force Base. I was assigned to Dr. Colucci and he has been by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. My first experience was back in 2022 when I had to visit the hospital due to knee injury, I requested work paperwork since I could barely walk and he stated that I was fine when I wasn’t. Then my last visit was recently since I was trying to get an ultrasound or a referral to a specialist. They were never able to get me to the specialist. Additionally, I had pregnant friends that will go to hospital to get their check ups to make sure everything was right and they would make my friends cry because they wore comfortable clothes to the appointment. I’m so happy we are out and don’t have to go to this military hospital
Everyone is so helpful and nice at David Grant Medical Center. The Doctors actually listen to you and help figure out a solution to what ails you. I am extremely grateful for this Medical Center
It was great! I felt like one of a big family there! Looking forward to going back when I need to!
This hospital's labor and delivery unit requires significant improvements and further training to handle the safe and efficient delivery of newborns. It is suggested that the hospital hire experienced senior nurses and doctors to enhance the quality of care provided. The team of doctors at this hospital does not prioritize natural birth, which may create an environment of panic and tension during delivery. Improvemts: On June 30th, 2021, the delivery of a baby girl was induced three weeks in advance due to a miscalculation of the baby's size by the hospital's ultrasound team. During the delivery process, it was disappointing to hear the doctors discourage the mother from a natural delivery and suggest a C-section instead. The doctors also persisted in encouraging epidural when the mother was trying to push for a natural delivery. On a positive note, the baby was born without a C-section or epidural. Sustain: The hospital's cleanliness and equipment are commendable, and the team of nurses and techs is dedicated to their patients' well-being 24/7. It remains an honorable experience to have a baby delivered at a military hospital.
This review is only for the regular clerks at the registration/appointment desk in Family Medicine. They are always extremely rude, to the extent of eye rolling and being unprofessional, just not helpful and seem to be more caught up and worried about their own personal conversations rather than helping patients.
I'm part of the EFMP for GI issues. David Grant has really done more in this last year to find out what is causing my gi issues more than any past specialist I was sent to. They have worked with me on every step of the way and are really considerate. Mind you, they are always beyond packed at the GI clinic and have a huge work load, but they still try to fit you in rather quickly. Compared to army bases where a GI scope within 4 months was considered quick to them. Just try to be realistic on wait times because this is a EFMP base and also a huge amount of retirees come to this hospital too.
We had an incredible experience here. I highly recommend everyone from the doctors, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologists. They all made you feel comfortable and were so kind to my family and me. They took great care of us.
Oral Surgery Clinic - Long waits to get appointments in the first place and multiple cancelations now. No policy/procedure in place to make positive contact in order to cancel an appointment, "we tried calling once a few days ago and didn't have your cell number" which was called to make the appointment in the first place and cancel the last appointment, evidenced by voice-mail. As if AD military members aren't reachable at least via email. Disappointed in the clinic and their cancelation practice. Things happen, communication is important. Main Hosptial Patient Advocacy was polite and respectful, and listened to a very frustrated person...although never got the call back from the clinic's "Advocate".
I came here for a few reasons. One being counseling with my now ex husband. After he was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, he shortly after was reported for strangulation and domestic violence. They immediately took action when I pulled my collar down. I appreciate all they have done for me. They connected the damages to my vagus nerve.
The base doesn’t know how to time stop lights, if you want to get through them, you have to go 50 mph. Then they kind of line up for you. It’s an easy problem to fix, but it’s the federal government, so expect it to get worse before it gets better.
