I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant! Mother's Day was my first time coming here. The adorably pregnant hostess had 444 tatted across her chest. That's my angel number I've been seeing since my dad died if you know anything about Angel numbers then you understand how happy this made me so I took that as a sign. Then our waitress's name was also Alexandria so I DEF took that as a sign lol. Food was beyond amazing. My pallet was broadened in the best way. Alexandria was helpful, attentive and I really felt like I could trust her and went with all her suggestions and she did not steer me wrong, and I'm someone with texture sensitivity and food issues so that was a big step for me. I really appreciate her aura and the overall pleasant vibe of Grato! I would love to come again and experience more of the menu with the rest of my best friends. Parking: Come with change for valet tip. It's complimentary!
Great quality food. I got a motor city supreme and a mushroom one which were both high quality and tasty Atmosphere is grand and beautiful Service was poor, missed orders, rushed out of restaurant even though it only took us 30 mins to finish our food but server was taking plates and pizzas off our table. Overall poor management. Their customer response shows an automated response just to damage control rather than reflection of continuous customer experience enhancement.
It was a perfect place for a gathering with my coworkers. We all have different tastes, so we ordered basically everything. The portions were nice, and the plates were beautifully displayed. Our server was very knowledgeable of all the dishes, which was helpful. The most amazing dish full of flavor and Best sauce was my appetizer the Cauliflower Caponata. Loved it! I definitely will return with my husband.
So being an offshoot of Buccan, Palm Beach, I set my expectations high….and Grato delivered. This place has a great vibe and energy that hits you immediately upon entering the cavernous warehouse style room. The bright red central pizza oven attracts your attention like the brass section of a show band, belting out an EW&F tune. Upon seating we were immediately offered water and cocktail options by one of the floor managers a good sign when the place is this busy, they pitch in. Three of our foursome imbibe ‘d and ordered The Fig Old Fashioned, The Spicy Margarita and The Peartini, all were excellent selections. We also ordered a really nice bottle of Tempranillo especially since it’s Monday and like Buccan, they offer a Monday night 50% off any wine bottle….thats how you move products! That wine was the perfect pairing for everything we ordered, which was: 3 pizza’s: A Vegan Margherita, The Spicy Soppressata and The Dak. All three were excellent our non conivore said it was the best vegan pie she’s had The other two pizzas were just as amazing. As an aside; at home, I make a 48 hour cold bulk fermented dough for my Neopolitan pizza oven and this dough hit on every mark, excellent crust, chew, stretch and taste! We then ordered two entrees to split: The chicken parm, which was good, albeit somewhat salty, but hot and cheesy with a side of fresh pasta thick spaghetti. The other was the Pork Ragu Cavatelli, cavatelli fresh pasta, adorned with a luxurious pork ragu, was simply love on a plate. If you are a fan of great Neopolitan wood burning oven pizzamost restaurants use gas….in full disclosure, one side of the oven had gas running, but mostly to maintain ambient heat, great Italian food in a festive high energy atmosphere, run don’t walk to Grato. Vegetarian options: Offering vegan cheese Parking: Valet parking Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, easy wheelchair access
Visiting from out of town and was told to come here due to always having consistent and delicious food. Was dining solo and posted up by the pizza bar area. Loved the lively ambience and low lighting. Was tricky to make a decision because everything looked good. Landed on the chicken parm and am so happy I did. It was perfect. Comforting and tasty. Coupled with the mezcal cocktail situation, it was perfect. I hate a great waitress too. Would def come back.
My family and I had reservations to eat here, but after reading some less than desirable reviews about the very high prices and very small portions, we canceled the reservation. Instead we decided to still give them a try but to stick to pizza. If we felt the pizza was good, we would return for in dinning. The Detroit style pizza caught my eye because of the name. I was born and raised in Detroit. Buddy’s pizza the original Detroit style pizza is something I know and love. This pizza that grato calls Detroit style pizza is shameful. Greasy, heavy, no taste, no fermentation flavor in the dough that makes Detroit pizza “Detroit pizza”.. I would say Jets pizza which is a local fast food pizza chain, makes a much better square pizza and for half the price... As for the “butternut” pizza.. why would you call it butternut? You shave raw carrots on it. You also must of doused a cup of onion pickle juice on this pizza because it was so wet and soggy and the only thing we could taste was the pickled onions. On the menu it doesn’t mention anything about carrots or onion on this pizza. It states “gruyere, fontina, baby kale, Aleppo pepper”. Why would you add a bunch of random stuff? It was the worst tasting pizza I ever had. I truly deserve my 21 bucks back for that because we took one bite and threw it out. I’m really glad I didn’t order any of the pasta. I honestly think buccan should be ashamed to be affiliated with this establishment based on what we were served tonight. The photos speak for themselves. It’s ok to be expensive and I don’t mind paying as long as I feel like I’m getting value for my money. What you get when you dine here is a loud, overpriced restaurant with very bad pizza and “children sized” portions of bland pasta.
I always loved the food here. Decided to come for brunch on a Sunday. We had a reservation but there was plenty of tables open. The server was nice and kind. But the real show stopper was the food! Amazing brunch items. The biscuit item with the pepper jelly was absolutely amazing. It was well balanced and tasty. The chicken sandwich my husband inhaled it! It was very flavorful and tasted fresh and home made. My husband loved the tiramisu it was made perfectly and airy and fluffy. Will definitely be back with our visitors from New York!
From the moment we walked into Grato, we were treated to a truly delightful dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfectly setting the stage for a memorable evening. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. The food at Grato is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The handmade pasta was a standout, cooked to perfection and paired with ingredients that spoke to the chef’s commitment to quality and creativity. The wood-fired pizzas were also a hit, with a perfectly crispy crust and fresh toppings. What truly sets Grato apart is their ability to make every guest feel special. It’s clear that they care deeply about their patrons' experience. We left with full bellies and big smiles, already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Grato to anyone looking for top-notch Italian cuisine in West Palm Beach!
We had a great time at Grato celebrating a friend’s birthday. The service, food and atmosphere were all great. I enjoyed the mushroom pizza which was delicious. The crust was thick and soft. We also had the fried artichokes as an appetizer. I would order both again in a heart beat. Only downside is that parking is a bit of an issue.
Our food and drinks were outstanding. Meatball as well as Tuna tartare apps were delicious. My braised salmon wasn't bad either. But we had a small "visitor" at our table that killed my appetite halfway through my entree this is why I gave the atmosphere one star. The staff and manager were very gracious in taking care of us.Food: 4/5
