In 1978, Gratz Real Estate and Auctioneering was formed, placing a full service real estate and auctioneering service under one roof. The office specializes in residential, residential income, farm and commercial real estate and is very familiar with 1031 Tax Exchange, traditional exchanges and 1031 exchanges in reverse. The real estate office has a combined experience of 146 years.

The auction side of the office offers 76 years of experience. They have been very successful with real estate auctions over the past several years and are the only company in the area that has the experience to do Multi-Parcel land auctions. Gratz Auction Service is a licensed, insured, and bonded member of the Missouri State Auction Association and the National Auction Association, and conducts small business administration auctions, federal bankruptcy auctions and estates auctions for various trust departments for area banks.

My family and I have always received exceptional service and professionalism from the Gratz Family.  

I met Logan Gratz several years ago, while my parents were buying property through him.  Since it had been nearly 40 years since they  purchased property through a real estate agent, they were less than knowledgeable and confident in the process.  Logan was patient, kind and didn’t appear to grow tired of the endless calls from my father asking questions and requesting that he drive 40 plus miles so Dad could show off the property that would soon be his.  I lost track of the number of times Dad called Logan for him to seemingly drop everything to make my parents a priority.  

Sometime after the real estate deal closed, my seven year old nephew Tony Peters was diagnosed with Leukemia.  In the fall of 2015, I contacted Logan to auctioneer at a large fundraising event for Team Tony held in October.  Without hesitation, he committed his time to the Team Tony event.  I talked to Logan several times in preparation for the event and every time he was enthusiastic, accountable and compassionate.  He arrived an hour before the live auction was to begin and we discussed the items that he would be soliciting.  Logan auctioneered for nearly three hours that night and raised a significant amount of money for Team Tony.  Once Logan left, several individuals attending the event donated additional items for the live auction, I called Logan as he was traveling from Linn back home to Wardsville.  It was a Saturday night.  He turned around, without hesitation or a single sigh. Logan refused to let us pay him for his efforts that night.  

My family will continue to trust Logan and his family with our real estate and auctioneering needs.  He is part of a first-class operation!

Beware the people who work for him when they offer to pick up, load and unload your items.

THEY WILL EXCESSIVELY PAD THEIR TIME!

In my case, I did half the work on pickup, it took less than 1 hour, but was charged for 6 man hours.  Unloading the day of the sale I was charge 5 man hours which easily should have taken one person less than one hour.  Mr. Gratz, or anyone from his company does not supervise these people and are apparently unable to add up the excess hours these folks claim they work.
