If I could give a negative rating I would! I was very happy with the colors that were painted on the walls (of course we chose the colors) however the job they did on our ceiling in our living room was horrible! We can overlook a few drips on the walls (cover them with curtains) or light spots in the paint where it didn't cover well (hang a picture) but how do you cover a ceiling? When we contacted the crew (Rick and Jeremy) we got attitude about fixing it. They did come back out and the head guy Rick left his apprentice to do the work because he had another job to go to. But we had to call them back out several times to fix bubbles and peeling paint! On the ceiling! We finally contacted the owner Rob and he did eventually send the same guys back out to "fix" the problem. We had to contact Rob AGAIN and then he sent out a new guy! The new guy came out, assessed the problem. Told us exactly what was done wrong and how he could fix it. That is the last we have heard from that guy. That was on Oct 21st! I have contacted Rob and was told he would have the guy call us, nothing. I contacted Rob and was told he would call me the next morning, nothing. I have never seen someone run and hide from a job they know they have messed up. Terrible company, terrible customer service! We paid good money for "professionals" and my 22 yr old did a better job on his home. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Very very disappointed!! 

I was happy with the job at first. I'm currently having some issues and giving 30 days for them to correct them. I'll update my review accordingly.

Great company to deal with.  I hired Great Lakes Painting to paint our great room, foyer, and very high ceilings.  Rob showed up on time for the estimate and was always available to answer questions.  Work commenced, and finished on times as stated.  They also did a full chip epoxy garage floor, that turned out great.  I'm always worried the companies with very professional websites tend to charge more, but GL Painting was the best price I received relative to two other companies.  There were only two problems; on the first day the workers didn't cover all areas and there was a bit of debris on the hardwood floors and stair carpet.  I told Rob about it the 1st night and they were much better at keeping things covered the rest of the job.  Also, I found out later that wall sconces, thermostat, and rod brackets were just painted around, not removed.  This caused a problem when I updated light fixtures later with a different shaped base.  They didn't indicate they were going to remove them so it's my fault for not asking, but I was surprised when I found them not painted under.

Rob's crews are the best.  I have had 3 different crews work at my houses over the years.  All 3 crews were great.  Highly recommended

We had Great Lakes paint our home, they also did extensive drywall repair work. The job was fantastic! The crew was professional and polite, they left our home clean and beautiful when they left. We would recommend Great Lakes to everyone. Real value, right price and right company.

I had Rob and his crew paint a majority of my place, including the doors, trim and ceiling. Everyone was a professional, kept me updated on their progress with a phone call at the end of each day, and finished on time to boot. They did a wonderful job, I would highly recommend them to anyone.
