Food wise this place is 5 stars, really high quality lamb gyros for the price point. Layout of the restaurant is a bit weird, it’s long and narrow and seating was hard to find. They do have a nice water machine. It wasn’t clear if you’re suppose to clear your own tray and customer service overall was subpar. Will likely just get to go next time.
I've enjoyed Greco other locations in the past, so I was looking forward to having a yummy and quick lunch in Seaport during a conference. I got a Greek salad with chicken and eggplant. The eggplant was good and the veggies were fresh. The chicken seemed very plentiful, but it turned out it had a bunch of the ligaments/tendons as well as skin mixed in, and relatively little meat. I personally didn't enjoy the chicken at all, but I might have had a bad batch. The lemon rice chicken soup avgolemono tasted exactly like the description, so nothing much to say there. It was pretty filling. The orange lemonade was decent. The staff here are nice and there's a nice little shop with baked goods and other food items. Overall nothing stood out from what I tried, and I really didn't enjoy the chicken. I wouldn't come here again.
I ordered a chicken gyro plate with zucchini chips and an orange blossom lemonade, recommended by another Google review. Chicken gyro plate: chicken had good flavor and texture, zucchini chips were yummy but hard to finish because they are fatty and there was a lot. I liked that the chicken and pita were warm.I think there were not enough tomatoes...I love tomatoes. Orange blossom lemonade: There was too much going on. Strong floral flavor. Was worth trying but I didn’t enjoy it. I was confused on how to eat the plate so I just put a little bit of everything on a pita and dipped it in the honey mustard, but there wasn’t enough pita for the whole plate. My friend got the chicken gyro and she enjoyed it, especially the fries The restaurant layout is interesting but I wish it wasn't as compact and crowded. My fault for sitting near the tray return area but there were no other good seats. Comfy chairs though! I think my meal was not worth the price, but it was a nice experience.
We got two bowls with chicken gyro, chicken was crunchy and waited, greens were the same. I didn’t enjoy my food and payed more than the small size bowl deserved. 15$ each. Service was a little late. Atmosphere was ok, and crowded for Saturday afternoon. Probably not the best to go on that area.Food: 2/5
High quality grilled meats with home made tzatziki and other sauces. The mix grill is a great way to try everything they offer. I’ve been coming here almost every month since I live nearby. I’ve noticed inflation hitting hard and they’ve decreased the portion, but the quality is still high.Food: 5/5
Well what else can one do in Boston but eat like a local! Not far from the Seaport Hotel, is this eatery with a welcoming and individual appeal, amongst the mass of construction work. No knowing much of the cuisine we opted for the mixed grill selection, in order to cover most of our tastes. We were not disappointed. Some hot with spice, some nice and flavoured, we left little. Washed down with authentic beer too. A nice evening distraction after a busy day in Plymouth and not far from a cosy bed.
OK, so I love Greco, but this review is for the market Agora attached to the Seaport location. I’m so happy this little gem opened up recently, because it’s my weekly destination for all Greek goodies. They have everything: feta from Greece, spices, frozen foods, the list goes on. But as someone who used to live in Greece, I recognize the products I grew up with as well. Not to miss: the amazing desserts, like melamakarona and baklava in the dessert case. They also have a great selection of Greek wine!
SUPER busy. But we realized RedBull had a huge event around the corner haha. They handled the rush VERY well. VERY fast service, the line went fast. Had a bit of trouble finding a seat… granted, there was an event nearby and it was raining so outside seats were a no go lol. The food was really good… definitely not your typical Greek food, but great flavors and great options! I wish I had time to taste the beef but they said it was gonna take a really long time and I had to get back to work ‍
Okay location, good food, meh bathroom, meh service. The food itself is fresh and tasted good for the most part. They didn't ask about what we wanted, and we wanted to customize it. The bathroom is outside of the store itself and was a bit of a mess. Parking is really difficult.
Tasty Greek with a twist. Try the chicken and beef gyros. The sauces really set these sandwiches apart from the traditional cuisine. Mixtures of creamy and tomato based sauces and dressings keep an element of surprise. The fried zucchini is also super tasty and a must try. Overall a good food experience.
