Our dog was not returned in the same condition he was left in.  He had infections in both elbows and exhibited dehydration like behavior when picked up.  He drank a liter of water at the nearest gas station to the kennel.  I tried to talk to Linda about it calmly, but the sweet grandmother became a hateful woman and started calling me names and telling me that my vet is taking advantage of me.  She also replied to an email in very poor taste and very non professional.  I guess if you want to take your dog to a place run by amateurs this is the right location for you.  I suggest you find a place with more class to make sure your animals are well taken care of.

If I could put zero stars I would.  I feel like a 1 is too high.

Used them the last two years and never had a problem, until now. Edit: I published my previous glowing review the same day I booked the last reservation, I guess I should have waited until AFTER my vacation.
 Well  I guess my luck ran out. I had called more than a month before our vacation and had the doggies booked and confirmed @ Green Acres. Per their instructions, I called several times the day before and got answering machine (in Spanish) on their house phone and cell phone voice mailbox was unable to receive messages . Didn't raise an alarm because this had happened before and I just took the dogs in the next day and dropped them off, no worries. 

I arrived at 7:30 Saturday morning and rang the gate bell, called both numbers honked my car horn several times, but no reply. After about 10 minutes of this I managed to squeeze through the gate and walked to the front door to ring the bell. There were several deliveries at the front door (boxes, dog food) but no answer from the house, other than a couple of dogs barking at me. Apparently they haven't been home for awhile.

Now I'm getting worried! 

Having done my due diligence (and then some) to make sure they were aware I was there, I left fed up and frustrated. Worried that our vacation was in jeopardy, my wife began calling kennels and managed to find one open and with available space. Thanks to A&B kennels in Wylie for saving our vacation!

It has been a month and a half since, and I've yet to receive a call back from the owners. Never again will I use them.

In response to the owners response below: No you never apologized profusely, because I have never heard from you. You didn't give me the friends phone number because I have never heard from you. If the friends had my number, they didn't call because I have never heard from them. You obviously contacted some other client whose vacation was ruined or nearly ruined. Check your facts before you make statements on the internet for all to see when they can be easily refuted.

We have always had a good experience here and have used Linda for more than 7 years.  Linda takes excellent care of my dogs.  You do have to call a day in advance and make arrangements to drop off and pick up.  She runs this business from her home and has children and a life.  She cannot sit at home waiting for us to drop off and pick up everyday.  Her rates are reasonable and my dogs always come home happy and well cared for.  I would highly recommend Linda to anyone who asked.

We have tried several Kennels in the past and ever since we tried Green Acres about 4 years ago we have never gone anywhere else. We know our 2 dogs are well taken care of, played with every day and we truly believe that they enjoy their visit. We understand that this is a family run business and there are times when you may need to call more than once but the care is excellent and well worth a little extra patience. We have also recommended Green Acres to friends and have only heard positive feedback.
