Eye candy for those who love kitchen gadgets and dining room decor. Mostly too expensive for the average Joe, although check in back for sale items. Saw a nice cloth patio chair on sale... but still for more than $200!! Kind of outrageous. I was looking for a spout to fit in the top of an olive oil bottle for pouring, and the staff members produced a couple of options from the wine/liquor section. Unfortunately they had no clue as to whether these spouts would work equally well for oils. Or whether the spouts might specifically be used to pour 1 oz aliquots rather than a steady stream. Even worse the girls were totally disinterested in figuring out the answer. So, no purchase for me!

Initially treated nicely by the staff, and they have nice products. BUT I'm really not a fan of this store. I overheard several employee conversations in which they said nasty things about the customers when they weren't paying attention. I heard both staff AND MANAGERS joking about several people's appearances (including clothing, weight, and smell), pushing each other to help "undesirable" customers (aka, not a white, pretty girl) and laughing when they did, and making fun of someone's apparent "wealth" because of the way they looked. It's basically the store from Pretty Woman. It's very clique-y and the staff are very unkind when the customers aren't paying attention. DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE YOUR MONEY.

Very similar to pier 1 imports. More local. Great items.

I visited the Greenhiuse today for the first time since the change in ownership. While the store looked beautiful, I was appalled with the customer service. I witnessed atrocious service with a customer looking for additional product from what was available. The managerswere yelling across the floor to each other regarding sale prices. When the manager heard I was "daydreaming" in the furniture section, she turned and walked away. Not the Bellingham tradition it used to be.

I have enjoy shopping at Green House for years, but lately I find the merchandise over priced, the customer service unfriendly and the staff snooty, especially upper management. Think I would rather wait and shop in Seattle where customers are appreciated and where you can but the exact same merchandise at a much better price.
