We started using Griffin Electric about 3 months ago after buying our new home and finding out that there were many hidden wiring problems. We needed some major work done and in a short amount of time. The first person they sent out to do an estimate and some work… well, let’s just say was not a good fit. So we decided to look elsewhere. However, when we let Sara know there was a problem with the person she said let me send out Jeff, he is a supervisor and I want to make this right if we can. 

Well, I am so glad she did that. Jeff turned out to be great! He did a new estimate on work not done yet and corrected erroneous work already done by the other person whom we did not have a good fit with. Jeff found a lot of ways to cut some costs and yet still have work done even better then was proposed before.

Jeff had won our trust, so we went ahead and booked some major work to be done. Jeff and Sean came out and did all the work with smiles on their faces and were fun, funny and very professional! Even after working in the heat for 8 hours they kept a great outlook going. Not once did we hear them complain and the work they did really impressed us. Jeff also found an electrical fire just waiting to happen from some really bad work done by whomever remodeled our house before putting it on the market. So he is a hero in this house!

So when we had to have more electric work done we used Griffin again. Happy to say we again were not disappointed in any way. They will get all our electrical work from now on and we always ask for Jeff and Sean because they don’t treat you like a job number, but like a good friend that they are looking out for. Sean will even sing to you while under your house fixing things. We still have that "Kung-fu Fighting" song in our heads. 

Sara has always gone out of her way when we need something to get us booked asap. It is refreshing to call a business and have the person who picked up the phone know what they are talking about. Techs aren't overbooked and the work gets done cleanly and right the first time. She also is a hoot and also treats you like a person and not just a number. We look forward to seeing them even though it means more money spent. Now what other business can you say that about?

We recommend Griffin to our friends and know that they go out of their way to make a job easy on the checkbook but never skimping on the work they do. They also stand behind their work and if you ever have a problem, all you have to do it give Sarah or Rebecca (they both rock!) a call and consider it fixed!

A tree branch fell, knocking on the power line connecting to my house.  PG&E came out and said we needed a new weatherhead and shut off our electricity.  This is about 1 pm on a Saturday, of course it is 100 degrees outside, so being without electricity isn't an option and I started calling anyone I could find. Griffin Electric was the first person who said they could come out (of course then it was 4 before the technician Sean could leave his house).  Mind you it is $325 for the 1st hour and $200 an hour after that and time starts from when they leave their house (and since Sean doesn't live anywhere near my house that was most of the first hour).  Sean said he would send me pictures, which I never got, and told me it was more than the weatherhead (which is basically the pipe that runs into the house that protects the cables from water) and some other piping needed to be fixed. He said he needed back up, so now I had to pay this ridiculous amount for 2 people.  I haven't seen the break down of a bill, I only got the total, so I do not know how many hours they both worked (did they both wait for PG&E to turn back on the electricity before leaving so I had to pay for both of them to wait? I don't know).  In total, from the time he left his house to the time power was back on was about 5 hours.  Total cost $1869.31 (which I paid that night).  Now 3 days later, I receive a call saying I need to pay $100 more because a woman had to go and open the shop that day.  Again, none of this discussed ahead of time, and you would think when you are paying ridiculous weekend rates already, that they would not then call you several days later to try to get more money from you.  Needless to say, this is the last time I will work with this company.

Josh Schaap fix outlets and wiring in our home. Did an amazing job! Such a great Service Technician. Josh was courteous, efficient, and took the time to answer all of our questions.
