Grosse Ile Hardware is a family owned and operated hardware store that has been in business since 1954.

Story

Ray and Laura Biddle purchased the store from Bob and Jackie Lowler on January 2, 2002. Since then, they have made significant renovations, both increasing the store’s size and it’s offerings to local homeowners and businesses.

Their newest addition includes a sporting goods department featuring firearms, ammunition, firearm accessories, and fishing equipment.

New to the Island and I was very surprised with how much this hardware store has. I really regret all the time wasted running back and forth to Home Depot. Every time I go in someone helps me find exactly what I need. No wasted time trying to track down an employee like at the big stores. All the employees are awesome. If you haven't been here be sure to check them out. The prices are comparable and the service is excellent.

Always friendly staff willing to help out when looking for diy needs. A little bit of everything. The only hardware store on the island.

I received stellar service in the paint department and was impressed of their knowledge about Benjamin Moore products. Shopping at GI Hardware is always a pleasurable experience.
