What an off the beaten path restaurant/beer & wine bar should be. Great food in a quirky building! Try the pastrami if they have it. Made on the premises it goes fast!

Sweet people here. Very down to earth. Really care about the PCT hikers ! Amazing hiker breakfast !

The food was mediocre, but the service was horrible. The woman bartending and serving (the owner) was rude, went out of her way to make us feel unwelcomed. I asked where I could get silverware and the owner paused, rolled her eyes and motioned over to the corner where I could go get them. I wish I could've tipped after the meal. After being in such a hostile environment, I felt she owed me money.  She had hikers pay before their meal and customers not hiking pay after. The tea was awful and tasted like chemicals.

Great burgers served with a sense of humor. Mountain air gets you hungry, order 2.

They have Great food and the best beer from Kern River Brewing Company.. love the Just outstanding IPA
