Rental and shuttle prices are great for kayaks, canoes, and tubes. They will accommodate newbies to the river, and even have some helpful info for those that aren't so new. The river itself is more off the beaten path, and provides excellent scenery, rather than people's backyards like the comal. Please be aware that this river is not trashed, and glass is not allowed, and not tolerated by the locals, the law, or the canoe livery. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS

This was our second time using Guadalupe Canoe Livery. Although we really enjoy GCL, this trip we were given kayaks that had cracks & continued to take on water (internally) throughout the trip. Had to stop at least a dozen times to drain the water so we could maintain control of our kayaks & stay above water.

If you are just there to canoe or go tubing, you'll probably enjoy it. But don't come here if you have small children or want to bring an aging parent. There are 3 areas you can park your car, one road being very treacherous (see picture of truck that almost rolled over). There are also only a few places you can actually get to the water, if you have good balance and are not holding anything, like a baby, or your stuff. No beach area to sit by the water. This place is really only good for kayaking and tubing. Not to bring your family for a fun day of swimming. Took us an hour to figure out this is not a family park and couldn't get our money back because "we were there more than 15 minutes." Worst day ever!!

Had our own kayaks and had them drop us off so we could get there with only one car. Only float available was 4 miles which we covered in less than 3 hours. Cost of 15 each for transport was acceptable. Stream was nice though I would have liked a longer option.

Super fun. They are conveniently located right off the 281 at Spring Branch. From their spot it's about a two and a half hour float to the first pick up location. Just give them a call and they come pick you up. It's only 8 bucks a person if you have your own tube but they rent tubes and kayaks.
