Volunteers are always needed for the 8th Judicial Circuit.
The 8th Judicial Circuit consists of six counties in need of volunteers.
The 8th circuit counties include Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, and
Union.
The goal of the program is to place abused and neglected children safe and
permanent homes as quickly as possible. Florida's overcrowded system of children
without families continues to grow. Volunteering as a voice for an innocent child
in the court system enables more children to be placed in the best possible
situation quickly and always with the child's best interest as a top priority.
The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a partnership of community advocates
and professional staff providing a powerful voice on behalf of Florida's abused and
neglected children. Our mission in to advocate on behalf on abused and neglected
children in order to provide a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible with
the child's best interest as a top priority.
