DON’T GIVE B & G GULF IN HOLMDEL YOUR BUSINESS!!! 

I’ve been super busy and haven’t had time to post this sooner and wanted to share. 

I usually rent trucks from UHaul in Middletown and have never had a problem. This week they did not have what I needed available, so UHaul directed me to B&G Gulf station in Holmdel. I had a new employee meeting me there to pick up truck and juggle cars as we were told ahead of time that we could not leave cars there during the day.  I received a phone call before getting there that my guy was told to “Get the F off his property”. When my guy said, I’m meeting someone here to work, owner of gas station proceeded to yell and curse at him telling him he needed to get the F out of here or he was going to call the cops. I managed to meet him down the road as he had left. My guy went to park his car at DD while I went in to rent truck. I saw the owner and explained I was upset that my guy was yelled at, cursed at, and threatened. This miserable owner proceeded to scream at me, point his finger in my face, curse at me telling ME now to get off his property or he would call the cops. I explained I was there to rent a truck, and asked what is his problem??? He said, “You lady are my problem” and again threatened to call the police and told the ladies behind desk not to rent to me. At this point, I said “I will call the police” which I did. The police officers said they really couldn’t do anything because the guy was free to conduct business however he chooses. However, the best part was that the cop cars blocked the gas pumps for a good long time causing him to lose a little more business. And yes I was told this wasn’t the first time the police have been called to this location. This guy is a miserable prick (sorry but that is what he is) and just warning everyone to not give this guy your business. I guess you should be dropped to his location by parachute as you aren’t permitted to even leave your car there for a minute to sign paperwork. The car was in front of air pump that had an Out of Order sign on it!  PS. Spoke to the corporate office at UHaul and they are looking into the situation further as they are not wanting to be associated with someone who represents their business in this manner!

Very clean, very well maintained professional gasoline station and car service center.  Great for price-competitive oil change, tire rotations and routine car maintenance.  Has well stocked U-Haul packing supplies and trucks for immediate rental right on site.  Staff is very friendly and attentive to customer needs.  As gasoline & service centers go, 5-stars ...  there are 3 gasoline stations on this busy Holmdel Road corner, and we simply will drive around to skip the other two... You'll laugh at how poorly the others are run in comparison to this as a benchmark.
