Just an INCREDIBLE group of people working and running the Dyer, IN, Gus Bock’s Ace Hardware! Jim, who is their top-STIHL guy, was a terrific gentleman, helping me not only decide which STIHL chainsaw would be best for my needs BEFORE I purchase, but also listening to my every concern (and mistake) afterward, teaching me how to properly realign the bar/chain, as well as helping me with a chain lubrication dilemma that I not only caused, but needed help with. He spent a good 10 minutes diagnosing my problem and he didn't charge me a dime! A+ customer service that stands behind their products that they sell you! If you’re wanting a new chain saw, look no further than a STIHL from JIM at Gus Bock’s Ace Hardware in Dyer! Bob, who was a floor associate, was just as terrific also. When I mentioned that I was having trouble with (an orange-colord big box store) installing a garage door opener for me, Bob not only showed me where I could find all the garage door accessories at in their store, but also provided me a copy of their “handyman” list. The handyman list contains names/numbers for local guys who not only will perform tasks for average joe folks, but also are professional enough to perform work on the Ace Hardware’s own building whenever needed. Bob directed my attention to a contractor named “Bob,” and he’ll be coming out this morning to install the garage door opener for me for a fair and reasonable price. THIS after the contractor that the Home Depot was going to send out flaked on THREE different appointments for a variety of reasons. I love my STIHL chainsaw, MS251C, that was purchase there and I’ll drive out of my way to visit the Gus Bock’s Ace Hardware in Dyer. They’re THAT good! Well worth it! You can’t beat competent customer service and honest advice.

You can buy any goddamn screw or nut or washer you need here. This place is American as hell. I have never felt frustrated while in this store.

I went to have a screen repaired. I assumed I had to leave it a few days even though it wasnt torn...it had come out of the frame..but the nice man took it in the back and fixed it within 5 minutes. Also EVERY employee i passed in the store smiled and asked me how i was today. Great customer service. Manager you should be proud

Went to pick up my order and nobody was around to help but the only accosiate that helped me was Samantha she was very nice and helpful
