Great music venue in Georgetown. Small enough to feel intimate but large enough to foster great energy from the attendees. Food was actually quite tasty too. Get there early if you want a table seat, but we were able to eat at the bar before the concert started which worked out great for the show. This was our first time at this venue, but we'll definitely keep our eye on their schedule for shows to come back for.

Fun spot.  Music was too loud to talk when sitting by bar but was quiet enough for a conversation in the area behind the performers.

Beer selection is good and service is quick.

Don't be put off by accessing the space.  The entrance is not at street level.  It's behind the building up a small hill.

I have been here twice to see two separate bands, March Fourth and Blue Water Highway Band, and enjoyed both times. The venue has tables where you can order food, a bar, and a small dance floor area. The dance floor is a tad awkwardly shaped and is positioned so sometimes the people sitting close to the band have their view obstructed. However, we had a really fun time and it was nice to be able to sit and have a nice meal while the opening bands came on and then be able to go dance when the headliners arrived on stage. My only real critique is that the food is really expensive. It’s around $20 for a tiny personal-sized pizza. On the plus side, they do sell popcorn and potato chips for around $3 a bowl, so if you’ve already eaten dinner you can get a bowl of chips & a drink and not end up blowing your budget.

Went there for a show and I forgot to close out my bar tab. I noticed a few days later that the charge was significantly higher than it should be. I went back to the bar to get a copy of the receipt and found 4 drinks that had been charged that I did not order. I understand that I should have closed my tab, but also the bartenders are responsible for putting drinks on the right tab. Accidents happen, so I tried reaching a reasonable compromise with him. His immediate reaction to my inquiry was confrontational, accusatory, and aggressive. In fact, he accused me of being too drunk to accurately remember my order, banned me for life, and threw cash at me. I was just trying to have a civil conversation in person, but his complete inability to behave appropriately and think rationally caught me off guard. I wasn't really planning on ever going back, so this isn't a real loss for me, anyway.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As good as local lore makes it out to be. Gypsy Sally's is a historic bar / live music venue located in Georgetown underneath the whitehurst freeway at the end of the capital crescent bike path. The venue is actually two bars in one, where the back bar and stage features free music nightly. Great spot to see local rock, folk and bluegrass!
