My husband and I have been waiting years for this H-mart to open. The nearest H-mart was in Gaithersburg and sometimes making the trip all the way down there was a hassle. I am glad that opening day they had loads and loads of foot traffic. The inside looks amazing, way better than the old G-mart. There is a huge variety of Asian products and some Latino products as well. There are some items that you would find in a regular grocery store. However, H-mart is an international grocery store, so I don't suggest buying stuff that you get at your local grocery store. Now if you are making some exotic dishes at home, this is the place to get them. On a side note, the 6 restaurants that are off to the right side of the store are good, but close very early (they close at 8pm). Overall, I am glad they are opened and I look forward to being a repeat customer. I also hope that they stay for longer than G-mart did.

Huge fresh produce section with items from all nationalities. Impressive fresh seafood and butcher shop too. Plenty of places to get  prepared food too. Like a Wegmans but with an international flair.

Great asian grocery Store with an awesome food court. Great fish selection. Fresh veggies at very good prices. Great to have this in Frederick.

The smell made me nauseous. Family loved the selection of Korean items and fresh seafood. Smells like a slaughterhouse though 😷

I went there a week after they opened and attempted to get a membership card, I was told by the greeter (at the front door) that they didn't have anymore - ran out, the gentlemen said that if I purchased any items I would have to pay full price.  I inquired as to weather or not they had a customer service/cashier courtesy card, I was told that H-Mart does not have courtesy cards.  I was very turned back by this,  how can H-Mart tell a customer that they would have to pay full price for items that a customer with a membership care could get for a lower amount.  IS THIS LEGAL?
